New Balance Men's 940v4 Running Shoe

Q: Will these shoes accommodate custom orthodics?

They have removable insoles and will accommodate quite a few custom orthos.

Q: Is the Wide version as it should be or more like a size D?

The first time I ordered a pair of 940s (it was v2) they only had the XW (4E) width in my size, rather than the W (E/2E) that I would have ordered normally. I really liked the look and took a chance. Since then I have ordered another v2, a 940v3 and now a 940v4 all in XW...they are wonderfully spacious and comfortable, in case my order history didn't convey that point.
