This did exactly what it said it would do, even from others that have raved that it gives Crystal clear water and it does. If you think your water is clear try this and you are going to be surprised of how clear your water can actually be. Worth the price absolutely works and I love it!

Purigen was the filter I'd been looking for to clear the water in my fish tanks! I had tried different water treatments and changed my other filter cartridge weekly and nothing cleared my aquarium water better than Purigen. I took out the filter cartridge that was specific to the filter and put the Purigen pouch into the filter cartridge area. Within an hour, the water color went from yellowish to a foggy white. By 24 hours after, the fogginess cleared up and the water was crystal clear. This filter is reusable but you do have bleach and water conditioner to recharge the pouch. There are YouTube videos on how to recharge the pouch. Worth it in the end. I highly recommend Purigen!

Great product for clear water.

I have two tanks, a 65 gallon hexagon and a 23 gallon bowfront. The smaller tank needed to have water changes weekly and the big tank every other week. Now in using Purigen, the tanks need water changes once a month. The smaller tank sometimes need to be changed after three weeks.The tanks are South American Cichlid tanks at 85ºF, pH 6.4, GH/KH 3, etc. These fish (Discus, Rams, Apistogrammas) are finicky with their water parameters, and these Purigen inserts have been a life saver. Carbon filters are no longer needed. I used to use the carbon filters with zeolite which really worked well, but not as excellently as the Purigen sacks.The tanks are heavily planted as well. The Purigen sacks last three to four months, and can be regenerated, although I have never done that and cannot speak to its effectiveness. The SeaChem people I met at Aquashella in Chicago said they can be regenerated about 5 times.The Purigen little bags easily fit into the Fluval C3 and Fluval C4 filters used. The Codia in tank UV filters really help with the algae, as do the Nerite snails and plecos.This product is highly recommended.

I know that this product works great. The only problem was that it kept getting delayed so I had to order it somewhere else.

Absolutely love the Seachem Purigen filter. It made the biggest difference in my tank and how clear the water is looking.

The perigean product really does a great job of clearing up tannins in the water as well as turning cloudy water clear in about a day. It may be the best product I've used for this. It comes in pre-packaged bags or a powder that can be added to bags purchased separately (the more cost effective route). I have been using it for some time now and have never seen any adverse reactions with the fish.
