Major fuel leak resulting in my car being towed back home, then needing filling up with petrol after the repair, it's a one off use but nice to have if needed again, it's plastic and so will last forever

Pro's:1. It's a sturdy container which wil take 10 litres of your favourite poison.2. It fills without fuss at the fuel pump although being black you'll need to watch the number to know hopw much fluid you've put into it.Cons:1. The supplied spout is absolute rubbish - you have to be very, very careful to achieve a decent seal and you'll immediately find that, (if you're actually lucky enough to achieve a fuel-tight seal), that the spout is at an inconvenient angle from which to pour the fuel out. You are likely to end up in a Mr Bean pose....2. If you try using a funnel instead of the spout you'll find that it's not a 'clean-pouring' container. You will end up will fuel on your feet/drive.In my opinion then..... this is definitely not safe for use with petrol although, with a lot of care it is just about okay to use with diesel but be prepared for spilled/dripped fuel.Unfortunately I learned how crap this fuel container is on it's first use, meaning that it's not really returnable now that it's been used.I urge you to learn from my experience. From me it's zero stars for 'leak-proof'.Note to the supplier: Should you read this review I will happily try another spout or container should you choose to supply one.

The spout when fully tightened goes over and becomes loose again if not careful and drips. I had to melt a breathe hole in the container handle to get a good flow too.

I would recommend this - nice and chunky, stylish and, most important - does not leak!
