Had to do some fabrication to get it on right

Holes are easy to drill, and can be located from opening the unit for both bottom mount and rack on top. Smaller than a stock harley tour pak, but MANY hundreds of dollars less. Nice gloss black finish, chrome rack on top is nice. Holds my full face helmet with a bit of room to spare. I'm very happy with it. Well worth the money in my opinion.

This is not a heavy duty Harley to pack. It does the job though. Be aware and careful when drilling holes for the top rack. If you drill the holes first, you will quickly realize that the holes don’t lineup absolutely perfect with the rack. It’s close but not perfect. You’re better off to line it up yourself and get close to the pre-marked holes. You’ll save yourself a lot of headache. I didn’t keep the original black color, I sent it down and repainted it as close as possible to my own bikes color. Six cans of spray paint and two cans of clearcoat. Came out really good. Added some additional reflectors for safety. Did have to drill new holes for the mounting system, as they didn’t match up with my rack, but that was no issue. Just a little bit of engineering. I also added an additional support rack of heavy duty, plastic pegboard underneath just to support the bottom of the trunk. Also make sure you look for the keys on the lock, MICN. They will not be in the trunk. They do wrapped the product very well, they will be taped on the inside of the packing box itself. Not inside the trunk.

This trunk has potential, but has flaws. As other customers have stated, the latch is prone to rusting and we would be better served by the use of stainless steel hardware.I also find flaws with the lid stoppers/ bumpers installed, they are only pressure fit in place. Two of mine have come loose and are trying to get away. This results in the lid rattling and even causing the latch to pop open, locking the latch stops the pop open effect.Had I not installed this unit by drilling holes to make fit my luggage rack I would of returned this trunk and searched for another trunk, now I'm stuck with it.I'm attempting to epoxy the bumpers in place and as far as the latch, packing the backside of it with grease may help get more longevity out of it.I feel I'm being generous with rating this trunk at 3 stars. IMHO I shouldn't have to do repairs to a brand new item.Update: Using epoxy secured the lid bumpers and I also used some caulking to help prevent any future movement of these rubber bumper. After a short ride on rough roads no more rattles from lid.

Fit my Honda VTX 1300 with some modification. When I first opened the box, it looked as though the other parts were missing, then I realized I didn't look inside the trunk. Bingo, there they were. The keys are taped to the inside of the box behind the Styrofoam. Seller was very helpful!

I almost expected this to be lower quality than it is considering the price, but it has overshot my expectations. It's pretty high quality considering that its under $100. The latch works pretty well, better than other cheap luggage carriers. Its universal, so mounting it will just depend on your set up, but it looks good on my 99 Honda Shadow 600 VLX. There aren't any holes in the top for the rack, but I kind of like that in case you don't actually want to install it. If you do you'll have to get creative with a pencil and a piece of paper to outline the holes. Best part is the seller is super responsive in the case that you have issues.

My wife needed back support while riding & for some reason didn't care to wrap her arms around me for close to 2 hours. Something about her arms getting tired? (Like mine weren't tired holding onto the handles). I seriously think she was just afraid she'd wrap up in the back wheel like some cartoon character if I took off too quick. We looked at several back rests with storage and opted for this. Not only is there ample storage for a small lunch cooler for drinks, but the back rest is comfortable to lean back on and relax on a longer ride. Now we are both happy, she has a back rest and I have snacks!

The lock mechanism fell apart and I have to painstakingly figure out how to put it back together. The pins in the hinges fell out while riding causing the top to pop open, only the cable on the inside kept it from falling off, potentially causing an accident! This is the 2nd trunk I bought from this company, thinking the first trunk was just a fluke, being of such poor quality. For the money spent on it, you'd think it would be a good, solid made trunk. Won't be buying again! Very disappointed!
