Excellent
Bought this for 30 day trip to Europe rather than use the expensive EE roaming. Take no notice of people who say they don't work. Activation was straight forward and quick at home in the morning before I left. I travelled across France, Germany, Austria and Belgium and the 4G never wavered. very satisfied.

Router sim card replacement
Unfortunately with most providers switching off their 3G I lost my Internet connection as 4G isn't stable enough at present in my location to maintain good Internet connection. Research shows o2 are only switching off 3G in 2025 and hopefully providers will have increased coverage range before cut off. O2 Sim card arrived as arrival date stipulated inside plastic mailing bag that held envelope with set up instructions and sim card. Followed instructions and had my Tp link Archer Mr600 connected to Internet on getting sim card activation email. Thumbs up to Richie who called me one evening, after ordering Sim, to see how the o2 sim worked out for me, once set up, and suggested a 3 network sim that maybe better for my area, but to call if there was any problems in getting set up sorted with provided sim card. So currently pretty stable on 3G. I have had 4G preferred and changed band from Auto to manual selecting Band 8 & 20 on router but noted signal strength drop from 3 to 2 bar and Internet drop out mainly in the evenings. So I've left it on 3G & Auto Band meantime. I'm not into online gaming and haven't had any issue watching Netflix through smart TV for the few days I've had Internet through purchased o2 sim.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
Read all the instructions before and waited until I got to my destination to install and activate. SIM Card activated no problems and then...nothing. No roaming,no internet-nothing, like I should have had. Waste of time and money. Avoid this company!

Using it as a temporary backup through a Sim card router
Title: A Reliable Backup Solution for Temporary Internet Outages Review: I recently came across a useful tool to overcome temporary internet outages during a transition between Internet service providers, and I must say, it has saved the day! The SIM card that I have integrated with my home router has provided uninterrupted connectivity for various devices in my house. One of the key advantages of this SIM card setup is its ability to keep essential functions running smoothly even during the transition period. My security cameras and doorbells continued to function flawlessly, ensuring the safety and security of my home. This was a great relief as I didn't have to compromise on vital components of my home security system or worry about any potential security breaches. Additionally, the SIM card-powered setup managed to keep most of my devices connected, allowing me to carry on with my daily routines with minimal interruptions. Browsing the internet, streaming movies, and accessing online content were possible, though I did experience occasional buffering. While it may not provide the same lightning-fast speeds as a conventional fixed-line connection, it is more than sufficient for basic internet usage. The convenience of this temporary connectivity solution cannot be overstated. It eliminates the hassle of finding alternative means of staying connected, as deploying this SIM card with my home router was a breeze. It offered a simple and straightforward setup process that required minimal technical know-how. In conclusion, if you find yourself in a predicament where your Internet service is transitioning, the SIM card solution for your home router is worth considering. It provides a reliable backup option, ensuring that important devices, such as security cameras and doorbells, remain operational. While it might struggle with heavy data usage, for everyday browsing and the occasional movie night, it performs admirably. I highly recommend this setup as a practical and convenient temporary internet solution.

And the Net result? Perfect!
My wife bought me a portable modem (or mifi, as they call them) for my birthday. She thought it would be useful to allow us to use the Internet when we're in France, rather than have to keep visiting McDonald's for their WiFi and fries. Needing therefore to buy a data sim, I trawled Google and Amazon for a best buy and was surprised to find that o2 came out as best value. I duly ordered this one from Amazon on the strength of my findings and the positive reviews given to this particular supplier. And I'm really glad I did, because setting up my device was not the doddle I'd expected. I contacted the seller (Sims4travel) and left a message. I got a speedy response by way of first a phone call and then a WhatsApp video call from Richie at Sims4travel. Within a few minutes he had it sorted. When we arrived in Paris I once more had a problem with my settings and messed them up completely by trying to solve the problem myself. I again contacted Sims4travel and Richie again had me sorted in a couple of minutes via a WhatsApp video call. So here we are now in Paris with a working Internet (witness this review written via my portable modem) and a rising tide of covid (can't blame Sims4travel for that!). At least we now have the means to monitor the news, fill in online forms, rebook rail tickets, etc. So thank you Richie and Sims4travel! If anyone else is brave (or foolish) enough to risk overseas travel, I heartily recommend this SIM and the supplier. And anyone staying in the UK will find that a portable modem, an o2 sim and Richie's expertise will prove a winning combination if they need WiFi on the move. And I should add that we have four devices (two phones and two tablets) connected and the speed easily equals what we have at home using our Plusnet modem. Brilliant! *Update* I've now used this service seven time in France and am happy to report that it hasn't let me down once (and last time we were there for a whole month). I can also report that 25Gb allowed me to stream programmes from the UK, including Chanel 4 News and Prime Minister's Question Time (both an hour long). . Additionally I was able to listen to the radio, surf the net, order Christmas presents for our grandchildren and download a Kindle book. We also used a Chromebook for Zoom calls to our relatives back home. Even after all that I was left with 7Gb unused. I can only assume that some of those who have had problems didn’t read the instructions that came with the card. It is necessary to get it activated by phoning or emailing the seller, which takes just a few minutes and results in a speedy activation. The only other problem I could envisage would be if they were in a "dead" spot with no phone signal, since the SIM obviously needs to connect to a network. Recommended without reservation as far as my experience goes.

Cannot Be Activated, No Customer Support
I purchased this card for use with mobile wifi . The card has to be activated online and requires your Amazon order number (why)? along with the serial number printed on the card. Then press ‘activate’ only to receive a screen saying that ‘Your information could not be sent. Check the information and try again’. Which I did, several times. I tried calling the number for activation queries; as expected it went through to an automated system that tells you to leave a message with your email address. I did this, and later that evening got a call. The SIM was then activated at their end - seemed to be an issue with the serial number. Therefore I can praise the service aspect for putting things right, but the activation procedure is long winded and frustrating.

Travel Data Device
What a great little device helping us save a bunch of money. We use Rogers in Canada and they offer wifi calling which allows you to use wifi data to eliminate Roaming fees. So the 3 of us just arrived in the UK where normally we would buy a paygo sim from 3 but we are using a little tp link 4g modem and this unlimited data SIM for a month. We activated it after landing and we had it up and running before we left the Airport. We did have to send an email using the airport wifi which was easy. So now instead of 3 phones x $15/day for a month we have this investment and a device we can use over and over for years which easily fits in one of our bags. This combined with wifi everywhere is super convenient and The big plus compared to buying local sims when you travel is we keep our phone number and talk and text as usual wherever we are. Great plan!

unlimited data and great coverage in the UK. and Sims4Travel customer support is 100%
Sims4Travel hooked me up for the UK. Just wish i would of had them before i left the us. I left this same review on the Sims4Travel Vodafone sim. I talk about both sims. I purchased both at the same time and am fortunate to have found them. in the pictures is the O2 sim. but the wifi speed test is my simcard modem that is dual sim. this was the speed in this small town when the Vodafone and O2 sims were inserted and the connection was wifi to the laptop. the rest below is my experience with Sims4Travels which pertains to both their Vodafone and O2 unlimited data prepaid sims. Awesome product. I could not be happier. The best part about all this is the customer service is top notch. This company went above and beyond to get me running here in the United Kingdom. Their help phone number is beyond belief. I am writing this review with the aim of benefiting both travelers and my medical school colleagues who need to arrive in the UK with a functioning cellphone and plenty of data/Wi-Fi so they can stay on par with their colleagues, communications, and internet needs. I am a medical student from the United States. I flew to the UK in November 2023 to complete clinical rotations in the United Kingdom as part of my curriculum. Our rotations begin the same day which we arrive. Being properly prepared to switch cellphone carriers or make sure you have a plan in place for adequate Wi-Fi if needed will save you from a headache as you start the rotation in the hospital the same day you arrive. There are 300 or more Americans and Canadians from my school in the UK at any given moment. Hopefully this helps some of you and our colleagues that follow My visa application was pricey and came with a Sim Card. I thought that I had my phone situation solved “sorted.” I was wrong. The sim was slow and only allowed 2gb of data total. My apartment also came with Wi-Fi, but construction is mainly concrete where I am, and our Wi-Fi was only functional in our kitchen. My colleague, who also arrived in November, was assigned another region in the UK and his situation was more limited. His two cellphones were all locked. He was looking at having to buy a new phone. His apartment Wi-Fi was only functional from 5pm-8pm. The rest of the time it was lagging to the point it was unusable. You don’t appreciate what you have until you don’t have it. We both needed solutions to our cellphones to allow us to communicate with our preceptors and Wi-Fi that would allow us sufficient data to cover our medical resources online and also fast enough that we could attend the mandatory, weekly zoom/meetup meetings. With Clinicals having started the day we arrived in the UK. we were already going to be a week behind in studies. Playing catch up is never easy. I asked the locals what they used. some recommended Vodafone unlimited data plan and when you go to costa coffee, show them you are with Vodafone, you get a free coffee. I looked on Amazon so that I could have the Sim Cards delivered. (My recommendation is to get a proper Sim before you ever leave the country. Also, the Sim Card that comes with an expedited Visa should not be considered a solution.) I found the Sims4Travel site listing Vodafone and O2 sim cards that were prepaid and had unlimited data. I then checked their cell tower strength in London, our locations, and overall reception in UK. Both Sims looked like possible solutions to me I purchased both as I needed something that worked ASAP. I also purchased a sim card router to put them in. I showed my colleague who immediately purchased the Vodaphone sim and a mobile router the size of a phone that had a 13-hr. battery for just over a hundred bucks. His arrived first and He tested it in the basement. Using the sim card modem he was streaming a video on the laptop while simultaneously being in a what’s app video call with me. He had no connectivity problems... He was stoked. He had a functional solution. He just carries his sim card modem in his pocket, and it gives him wi-fi everywhere he goes and to multiple devices at a time. my experience with the customer support really means a lot to me. My Vodafone sim card arrived a few days after my buddy got his. I had ordered a different modem than my colleague and I was struggling to figure out how to set it up. I contacted the modem support chat who said, “Vodafone should work in the Wi-Fi 6 modem, please reach out to the carrier. Sims4Travel had a post card in the package with online activation, and tech support email and phone number. I called it and there was an immediate answer. He went through the settings with me while I was on the phone. He sent me a screenshot of how it needed to look. We eventually got it running. Two days later my other sim arrived, O2-sim. (I plan to use one sim in my phone, but my modem can also run dual sims. if needed, I can put both sims in my modem and then my connection becomes really fast... I called the Sims4Travel, and I got the same guy, and he remembered me. He treated me as a friend. Far better than I have ever been treated by a phone company in the United States. We initiated the 2-hour activation, I received a text that the sim was now active. An additional 3 hours passed before I tried the Sim in any application. At this time, I received a text not from a machine, but the tech support I spoke with prior, asking if the Sim was functioning properly. I confirmed that it was. Costumer service is top notch. I believe for those traveling to the UK, who require cellular and data connections, this product paired with its customer support is the best. Also, to the medical students coming to the UK, make sure you know if your carrier covers the UK and at what rate. I had other colleagues with coverage that their phones charged an additional connection fee of $5-10 per day. If you are in this situation, I would highly recommend that you sort this out before you leave the United States/Canada. It would have saved me a lot of time my first week of clinicals. If you are like my colleague and myself, not only looking for a solution for our mobile phones, but we also needing a mechanism of getting Wi-Fi without signing a cellular contract. These prepaid data sims became the solution for both. They will work in unlocked phone and the sim card modems. The costumer support is better than any other company I have worked with. I wish that I would have had this sim before I left the United States as it is an essential precaution for me as medical students. The loss is minimal if not needed and an essential time saver if needed.
