Maisy's First Clock: A Maisy Fun-to-Learn Book

My two year old granddaughter loves this book. Great learning tool for reading words and telling time.

This was a Christmas gift for my 2 1/2 year old. It is a very cute book and he loves to move the hands of the clock. It is also a great way for us to practice and shape his cognitive and language skills because the book provides a lot of opportunity for open-ended questions such as, “What should Maisy wear today?, What do you think Maisy should eat for lunch?”

Ordered this for three year old, and am looking forward to seeing her (via skype) enjoy such an appealing way to learn.Since her name is Maisie, this adorably illustrated mouse already hold extra appeal for her.She wakes up Mommy in the middle of the night more often now after transition from crib to bed, sowe hope understanding the time will help. The book is large and sturdy, and hands on the clock easy for small fingers to movebut also stay in place. each page features activities to which children can relate (and adjust clock to put into context of time.

My clock-loving son is in love with this book. The illustrations are cute, and the clock itself is easy to change the time on with one hand while using the other to hold the book. The only issue is that it could be longer, with more times to set. The book is also huge for a board book, but it's also very durable and looks like it will hold up well.

My daugther loves it but the minute hand keeps slipping, it doesn't firmly stay on the 12. Also, the story only deals with integral time - on the hour, 1, 2, 3, etc. So if you want to do a quarter past or half past, or any other time, you have to also make up the story to go with it. I guess it's ok for the first clock.

We purchased this book for our toddler who was showing a keen interest in clocks and have t been dissappointed! My son loves reading about Maisy's day and turning the clock to correct time for each activity. The story is simple but fun, essily relatable to a toddler.

This book is a great for helping our 2 1/2 year old grandson tell time. Maisy is always a favorite and the cllock hands turn well. I Recommend.

My son (almost 4)loves this book and the clock has held up well. If I could change one thing it'd be more realistic things to do during different times of day. People don't bake cookies each day lol. Overall great book!

My 3.5 yr old loves this book. The pages are so colourful, it attracted his attention. It was so easy to teach him how to read time. He learnt how to show hours by turning the hands of the clock and following the picture on pages as guide.

本の中に時計が埋め込まれていて、カリカリいいながらまわすことができます。時計の後ろについている歯車がキュートで、色もとてもきれいです。時計に興味を持つ年頃の子どもなら、メイシーちゃんの暮らしとともに、遊びながら学べてよいのでは。絵がかわいいのは、そりゃあメイシーちゃんだもの、当然。ハードカバーで、ページも厚紙、時計もしっかりしていてこの値段は、超お値打ちでは。大きさや厚みも適度にあるので、ギフトにしても見栄えがすると思います。

大きい本が嬉しいのか、買ってから毎日のように読まされていました。何故かチーズとパンにやたら反応します(笑)本の内容は申し分なかったのですが、新品のはずなのに、本の周りが結構ボロボロでした(^_^;)
