Good introduction for people with a mathematical background.

looks awful, but some might not be bothered by the poor layout and formatting. but to me its a bit rich charging money for something that would get an F if a child handed it in as homework. the other issue is that its just a long list of familiar “sums” / patterns in arithmetic and number theory. its very disappointing and i doubt would be of much interest to the lay person. if youre curious about maths and why some of these “sums” are of any interest - id highly recommend a more thoughtful / intelligent and theoretically interesting book “the joy of abstraction”, an excellent laypersons way into advanced mathematics. very well written and specifically pitched for non-mathematician
