The Front Steps Project: How Communities Found Connection During the COVID-19 Crisis Paperback – November 24, 2020

I loved sitting down to go through this book and see all of the "silver linings" that families and photographers have found during an otherwise stressful and uncertain time. I have this out on the table in our living room and everyone in my family has picked it up to look through several times. It is truly a book of happiness!

I can’t believe that there is such a beautiful, creative and poetic way to remember this past year, and BONUS, such a great snapshot of the diversity of America and a glimpse into other people’s lives during this time when we’ve been so isolated from each other. I laugh/cried as I saw other families like ours half way around the world clearly challenged by the same things our family has struggled with and their creative ways of expressing themselves and finding laughter. My son leafed through this book slowly, page by page clearly as moved as I was! I can’t wait to buy more and share with friends and family as Christmas gifts to commemorate the strength and beauty of this past year that this book has caught.

This is a joyful and uplifting reminder that even with the challenges of 2020, there is still a lot of good in this world. Having this book at home and sharing it with family and friends helps us talk about and reflect on...all the things: This one little book showcases phenomenal photography, smiling families (whatever that might look like), diverse communities, and of course, coming together in the time of COVID. The authors/editors should be proud.

This book is historical. With the pandemic that we’re facing now, this book is the face of every hope we can have.It’s a different feeling once you have the book in your hands, looking through page by page, picture by picture, and see that we are not alone in this journey, is very powerful.

The book represents pictures captured by the project and is full of hope, promise, and community. You can literally pick up the book, open to any page and find shear joy. Filled with amazing photography and inspirational quotes. Perfect on the coffee table.

This book documents an unprecedented time in history when all of us were isolated due to quarantine. Photographers across the nation and beyond donated their time to raise money for local charities by taking photographs of families on their front steps. This collection of photos depicts the love and joy that went into this project. I cannot wait to get more copies to gift to my friends and family this holiday season!

The anticipation for this book was huge and it didn’t disappoint!!It’s perfect for a coffee table. The colors inside are bright and vivid and the words written are inspiring. Every time I open the book, I find a new image to love.Highly recommend this important book!

I spent an hour looking though the boom before bed and had a smile on my face the entire time - what a lovely book! It really showcases the best of humanity in this not such great time. I am planning to buy a few as Christmas gifts this year . If you need a pick-me-up and a reassurance that people are good - buy this book!
