I’ve been using Elixir 6-string guitar strings for a few months now, and I’m truly impressed with the overall performance. As a musician, the quality of my strings is crucial to the sound and feel of my guitar, and these strings have exceeded my expectations in every way. Sound Quality: Right out of the package, these strings produce a bright, clear tone with great sustain. Whether I’m playing clean acoustic chords or rocking out on my electric guitar, the sound is consistent and rich. These are the best strings for my Martin D-10E. They feel better on the fingers and brighten up the low end a bit with great midrange and highs. They stay in tune barring humidity swings and last forever. (Almost)

My guitar skills run somewhere between campfire guitarist and whatever is a little better than that. I play in spurts, so my guitar may hang on the wall for months at a time without playing, but the coating on the strings keeps them fresh for a very long time. I only have to change out every six to eight months. The guitar sounds really nice with them...a good full sound without being too bright. They stay in tune after a few initial stretches and re-tunes. The coatings also make them easy to play. They cost a little more than some sets, but I change them a lot less than I do with uncoated strings, so the extra cost is worth the trouble, IMO.

I tried about 6 or 7 different brands on my Gibson acoustic. By far, this is all that I would recommend. Of course with acoustic instruments the sound is subjective. They last about 3 months with playing about 30 minutes a day.

I like how these guitar strings sound, of course after using any guitar strings for a while they will start to sound dull. I was happy for how long these held up.

Never found a string that compares. I don't change my strings every week or every month for that matter. Always regret purchasing other strings since. Simply the best for me. Great sound for long time. Still play great when they are all beat up and old. Never had a bad string. Can't say the same for the EB's I just bought in a pinch a while back. Guitar player, ex string maker, ex other String brand trier-outer. Update: Last set had a bad string. A very bad string. It was dead and dull and differed in colour than the other wound strings. I'm dropping a star. A visual inspection would of caught this easily.

No doubt the best quality strings out there. There's no going back to any other brand after using these. Been using them for at least 15 years and the sound and feel are bar none. Don't let the price scare you away because you are literally paying for quality over quantity!

Muy de mi gusto. Puestas en una guitarra economica pero las notas son muy brillantes y exactas. Ajustan de octava casi a la perfección y mantienen bien la afinación, las variaciones son minimas. Edito tras probar otras marcas y tensiones: son MUY buenas. No hacen buena una guitarra de gama baja, pero la riqueza armónica que dan es tal que a pesar de las pérdidas propias de una guitarra corriente suena muy bien. Mi pequeño consejo: si crees que tu guitarra es mala prueba éstas cuerdas antes de sentenciarla definitivamente. Te sorprenderá.
