Love these containers.
I already had a couple of them and wanted more. 2 more would have been perfect, but I couldn't find that configuration and I will probably end up using all of them. I like to have ingredients handy in my pantry and these are a good size. I have always found them to be very sturdy with an air tight lid. It's perfect for brown sugar still in the box or my 1 pound package of cocoa, still in the container it comes in. I used it store nuts, beans, and several kinds of seeds I store in the freezer for adding to bread. If you mostly don't cook, I guess this won't be that useful, but if you cook most or all of your meals, these are great.

Perfect for a pound of coffee or a pound of dried pasta
In my family we like trying different coffees from Starbucks, especially when they have the limited varieties. If you want to try a few varieties all at once and ask the store manager, they will usually let you choose a few to try in 1/4 pound packages and they will grind it for you to take home. This is like a little sampler set. Over the holidays we tried several of the limited editions of their coffees and ended up with a counter full of bagged coffee. :0 These tall rectangular containers (I call them small canisters) fit one pound of coffee (either ground or beans) or one pound of pasta perfectly. They also make it very easy to pour the contents rather than having to use a scoop. You can see in the first picture three of them side by side next to a coffee mug (for height and dimensions comparison). In the second one you can see I mark them with Sharpie. This washes off after three washes so I can use the canisters for something else. In the third picture you can see one on top of two square canisters from Lock n Lock. What I like about the tall ones compared to the square ones is that the ground coffee doesn't spray everywhere. I swear if you barely breathe around the ground coffee in the square canisters it goes flying everywhere. ;) Not a problem with the tall canisters. If you have never owned Lock & Lock (I call it Lock n Lock), it is waterproof, spillproof, antproof, bugproof, etc. It washes easily on the top rack of the dishwasher, just make sure you shut off the dry and let it air dry. Occasionally the blue silicone gaskets will come off of the lids. Just dry inside the lid and push it back in. I have Lock n Lock that's more than a decade old still working fine. And yes, these are the originals that sold first on QVC.

Great storage for froze
Lock and lock is the best. Remember when washing/drying the lids to turn the lids inside down so all moisture evaporates or the seal will mold
