Not only will this prepare your skin to receive the product, but it will stimulate blood circulation to the area so your skin gets the vital oxygen and nutrients it needs to rebuild itself. I simply use a regular loofa with a moisturizing body wash to gently scrub each affected area in small circles for about 45 seconds while I'm in the shower.2. Apply Mederma correctly. I use about a dime-sized drop (for 7 x 4 inches of skin) and massage it slowly into my skin, moving in small circles. I do so twice a day: once in the morning, after I shower; and once in the evening, before bed. I make sure to let the product dry completely before putting on clothes or slipping between the sheets.3. Keep your skin hydrated. Apply lotion (lotions infused with aloe and Vitamin E will help restore elasticity and tighten skin) and drink enough water.AND THAT'S IT! We'll start with 4 and update accordingly. First off, 4 out of 5 ain't shabby! So far, I'm very pleased with the stretch mark cream. I've had my eye on it for 5 years now and could never get over the price. I've tried countless cheaper options and, thus far, I'm finding you get what you pay for. I've had this product for 4 days now. It's important to note a couple items regarding its results:1) I am not genetically predisposed to stretch marks. I just give birth to giant babies (my first was over 9 lbs.). After the birth of my second child 2 years ago, the stretch marks got worse and I can't even stand the look of my stomach anymore. I've even looked at plastic surgery, but the scars seem just as ugly as what I already have!2) I am following the directions to the letter. I am using an arabica coffee exfoliating scrub 3x's a week and applying the cream twice daily. Without fail.3) I am also dieting and excerizing (a little ☺️). This cream isn't intended to take away inches so if I want that little pooch to disappear too, I'm going to have to put in a little work on my part. Part of my diet is staying super hydrated, which we all know is great for your skin.I am posting a picture of my results, so far. You'll see that the wrinkles and lines are still visible but the coloration is MUCH better. Bathing suit season is 4 weeks away and full results take 12, but I am confident that I will be more confident pool side by the end of the month!

I also want to add that my skin tone where the stretch marks are is very much improved and has lost the bizarre wrinkled appearance that you acquire with stretch marks.The Mederma has a thick creamy consistency that is absorbed readily by skin. It has no greasiness and I have not noticed it staining my clothing in any manner. The fragrance is another matter though. This formula has a strong floral fragrance. It dissipates fairly well during daytime hours, but if I apply it close to bedtime, the fragrance really intensifies while I sleep under bed linens. During warm weather it can be insufferable. However, I'm willing to give any product that does such a great job improving my skin so drastically a full five stars!Update: After three months of solid use, my stretch marks were negligible. I think stretch marks and their final appearance have so much to do with genetics and skin properties, but I do believe that the lotion really helped their final appearance.
