BlissHome Nigella Lawson's Living Kitchen Piglets, Cream

So cute with a nice feel! These are exactly what I wanted; small salt pigs for individual use. They are great for taking a pinch of your favorite salt. They look great on the tray too!

These are the cutest. Made in Portugal, too, a ceramic capital. However, after about 2 years of gentle use, I noticed that a quarter size chip of glaze fell off. They were sitting on my counter, very lightly used. They are for decorative use. Get them for that purpose, not for real use.For the high price, spontaneous chipping is not acceptable, in my book. They sure are cute, however.The one I use a lot is the Made In USA chunky one; that has been OK for 8, 9 years.

This is a very cute set, but being a pinch pot, you should be able to comfortably get your fingers in to do so. These are too narrow to really do that.

I saw Nigella use these on Food Network and decided they would be good for our salt. We keep Kosher and sea salt next to the stove. In the first package I received one of the piglets was cracked on the top. I contacted amazon and told them it was not packed well enough. The piglets are in their own box, but that box was in a larger amazon box with air pockets that were not full of air. Amazon sent a new set right away. When the next package came I could hear that it was broken before opening it. I opened it and one of the piglets was completely shattered. After opening this one I realized the packaging problem was not the fault of amazon. The piglets are just sitting in their own box with nothing to protect them. They are supposed to sit in a little cardboard foot, but if they come loose (which seems to happen easily) they are just rolling around in the box.Luckily I did not have to ship back the first package so between the 2 orders I got a complete set. The tray was fine both times. I contacted the company via email and they said they would look into better packaging for shipping.Other than the packing problem this is a great product and looks great on the counter.

piglets and I have two other sizes. these are great for the table and I love using them with special salts and coarse ground pepper.

Exactly what I was looking for....They are a Christmas gift for a special person who I hope will love them as much as I do.

These make me HAPPY

While these piglets are cute and just the right size, they are inadequately packed for shipping. Two sets arrived shattered, and Amazon elected not to send any more. That was fine because I tired quickly of repacking and trekking to the post office. The problem could be solved if someone at Amazon would stick a bit of bubble-wrap in the package, but that was evidently not an option (I asked).
