Le Creuset of America Stoneware Petite French Press, 12 oz, Hibiscus

I was cutting down on coffee, this is a nice 12 ounce normal size cup so you can have just one, not too much. the ceramic keeps the coffee hot while it steeps. It is easy to clean by hand and goes in the dishwasher. The color is nice and bright. I saw complaints about pouring and, yes, you should not be in a hurry and plunge it fast the pour it fast or you will have half of your coffe with grounds in the cup and the rest on the counter. It works great when used properly, I liked it so much I have other colors to share!

only one cup of coffee- like 8oz, not a 12oz cup. so it's absolutely perfect if that's what you want! And these presses (this and larger size) are the best presses I've found. The stone stays clean - both physically and in flavor. The press is as good a mechanism as you'll find. It won't filter espresso grind. The finish on the Creuset stoneware is excellent, so easy to rinse or wash, and holds up forever.

This looks gorgeous, smooth, elegant. All parts well constructed. And sure it’s small, but anyone who knows what 12oz is should not be surprised. It’s perfect for 1-2 cups and the size is part of its elegance. Only thing are the instructions which come with it - if anyone follows them they will be disappointed. It says to put 2 heaping range spoons per 8oz but then instructs to put in 8 tablespoons per ‘full pot’, which in this case is just 12oz - 50% more than 8oz and yet somehow requiring 400% more coffee? Plus there are other typos in the instructions, so it give the impression of having been written using google translate somewhere deep in mainland China. But this is minor - use it as you would think it needs to be used and it’s truly a lovely item.

I am generally a tea drinker but do enjoy a cup of coffee once in awhile. Took only one trial run to determine that I needed 2 tablespoons of ground coffee and brewing time of 4 minutes. I like strong coffee. Now my cup of coffee is perfect and no big coffee machine taking up valuable counter space. I wish it had come with instructions but just went on line to view video demonstration and was set. Easy to take apart to clean. Just remember to place a finger on the lid when pouring. That’s important and the video explained that.

This french press is PERFECT. I keep it at work so I can have fresh coffee every morning. It's the perfect size for one person. 12 oz fills my large coffee mug with room for some milk (though I usually just drink it black). I never get any grains escaping the filter. It's so easy to clean, and I love that it's all ceramic and stainless steel. No plastic parts! I will definitely be buying the larger size soon to keep at home.

Designed to roll and fall. Lid will easily slap vessel and chip or break. In other words: Fragile. Not as fragile as the paper thin glass jobs though. Other than that it is the usual press through brewing method. Looks fit in with certain kitchen styles. Also over priced for what it is, IMO.

Expensive, and note it’s ceramic, not the cast that the brand is famous for. I’m worried it might chip, but it hasn’t so far.

Incredibly disappointing. It pains me to say, but I must. The colour is beautiful, it is a charming, rustic looking French press but the cover? The cover DOES NOT FIT! Instead it threatens to fall off while pouring. I purchased several for my patisserie and I have to tell you I am afraid to use them as each customer must now be warned to hold onto the cover before decanting their own French pressed coffee. So disappointing. I alsoHad to wait for weeks before I received them. Would love to hear what Le Creuset has to say.

This was a wedding gift registry item. Very pricey for a coffee pot but hope it's what they like.
