Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head - 10 Inch

This 13" head fit my snare perfectly, and for a cheap price. Made in the USA, I bought this head along with a 12" and 14" and I am pleased with all three. I’ve been drumming for almost three years now and needed to replace my low quality heads that have been beaten and battered to all hell with higher quality heads with a better, warmer sound. Remo does just that. Observations: - The heads look exactly as described. I bought three drum heads; the 13” head is obviously smaller than the 14” head but larger than the 12” head. - This is your standard Remo Ambassador drum head. There’s no glossy finish. This is a simple head and it does a simple job. - It might be a given, but know your setup before purchasing and research what you need to do to produce a less muffling and in tune sound. Any experienced drummer knows this. Although my old heads were produced by GP Percussion, as that is the brand of my drum set, it is already evident to me that Remo has much higher quality heads that create wonderful sound when hit with proper muffling. I recommend these for the sound and given price. I should note that I bought this product at full price and am not affiliated with Amazon or the seller.

very bellowing in the tuning I have them at very enjoyable and wasn’t too hard to tune if you do it with the drumstick method, I will be acquiring the subsequent heads for my toms now

The perfect drum head for a tom in just about any playing situation, in my opinion. Emperor heads are great for that classic tom sound you're looking for. An ambassador is going to ring a little more. Emperors are bright and full bodied, with a medium decay. They don't sound like a thud, but they don't sound "ringy." Personally I like to put some Moon Gel (dampener) on the edge to dampen the sound a tiny bit at home. I would not put anything besides an Emperor or Ambassador on my toms, and yes, I've tried every other option. I would say the only thing the Emperor head would not be perfect for is jazz music. I like a more ringy sound for jazz music, and the emperor has more of a classic sound.

I love Remo Emperor heads. You probably do, too This one I bought from Amazon directly. Not good! See the pucture. Amazingly, the head was not bent and I will use it. What braniac at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Texas thought shipping a drum head in it's flimsy cardboad box was an appropriate thing to do? I was dumbstruck. If the metal boop gets bent, it's 'game over'. Not to mention it took forever to get this item in this condition. Order Remo, NOT from Amazon!

The heads were shipped in the perfect sized box. Nice and tight , and the heads were PRESTINE ! ! ! The best I have ever seen . I won't buy a drumhead online from anyone else . I've gotten lots of heads , dozens , and they usually look like they came out the reject box ! Hats off to them , they do it real good .

I am a 59 year old female drummer, in a big hair 80's band. I am a snare drum head breaker !. I bought two of these, one for my on stage snare drum & one for my practice snare drum. So far they can withstand my abuse & they sound good.

all of my drumming life I've always used clear heads on all my toms. wanted to experiment with different heads and tones and decided to try out the Emperors and I'm sure glad I did. As I was midway putting them on my toms, I gave them a little hit with the stick and IMMEDIATELY notice how much more deep and warm they sounded compared to clear heads. I love them! they kind of have a short sustain. and kind of a little muffled sound. the picture I posted is of the 10" emperor I bought along with the 16" sorry!
