Gerber wlWork Knife
No frills, just a pure working knife that comes razor sharp, sturdy, goodhefy, balance, quality and easy to sharpen. Nothing to knock, just does what it's supposed to do and tough as they come.

Gutted a cow elk no problem
This is my hands down all time favorite fixed blade hunting knife. My second favorite is the Benchmade hidden canyon hunter. Considering the price difference, Gerber beats it by a mile. It held an edge from cutting through fur and skin on the chest. Stayed sharp enough to cut the diaphragm out cleanly and skinned the whole animal. I did not batton it through the chest or hip bones, however. We used a small hatchet for that. Over all a fantastic value for the real world hunter. Its quality enough to last and function well, cheap enough that you don't cry if you lose it. Also not heavy at all.

Perfect Knife for Size
Was looking at some more expensive fixed blade Gerbers and noted the reviews for the freeman Guide. For the price this is an excellent knife. Very sharp out of the box, full tang and excellent grip. The knife is small for a fixed blade but excellent for carry as it is light and easily concealed. This knife is a keeper. Love that it is made in the USA. I ordered two by mistake and trying to decide if I want to keep both???

One upgrade and it's a five star!!
Saw this knife on Amazon and wanted it immediately. I had recently purchased a Civic Elementum folding knife and this fixed blade Gerber looks really good sitting next to it because they have similar blade types and the grip with the steel accent liner of The elementum and the full tang being exposed around the edges of this Gerber look really similar to each other. The folder is what you will usually see me carrying in my pocket everyday, however I work on a horse ranch and often do heavy work that folding knives are not really built for. That's where the Gerber steps in. There was just one problem, the sheath. I've never made a kydex sheath nor did I actually have any kydex but as soon as the knife arrived (because obviously I need the knife to make a form fitted kydex sheath) I made a quick and easy press and again because I didn't actually have kydex I used what I believe was once a piece of a cheap aftermarket floor mat that you can buy for pickup trucks and I went about making my very first kydex not kydex lol knife sheath. And I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the results I will definitely pick up an actual piece of kydex and remake the sheath so that it doesn't have the texture that this does but this material worked very well I would argue just as well as kydex heck it might even be kydex. And I got lucky because I use quite a bit of Toughbuilt products including their clip tech tool belt system so I already had a clip that works perfectly for the sheath. Now it's a five-star knife.

Best little knife
The GERBER Freeman fixed blade knife is one of the best little knives out there. I do wish it was half serrated, but it’s ok like it is. Blade is just under 4 inches, just right. Came sharp. Handle is rubber and fits the hand good. Wide enough to do working jobs and pointed enough to poke holes. The sheath is useless. Be prepared to find another sheath for this great little knife.

They will get the job done
The price performance ratio for this knife works well for me. I put them in my go bags as a back up and I think they’ll do the job well.

Snap on sheath too short
I like the knife, it came sharpened well. The sheath is not so good, it is about 1/8 inch to short to snap closed. Now I have to buy another sheath for the knife and hope it works. I expected more from the Gerber brand.

Great Knife
Bought this knife for my son who was looking for a fixed blade edc. Loves it, especially the textured grip. Gerber makes great knives for the price
