Q: So does this lighten dark hair ? I have black hair and I'm trying to go blonde (yes I know this won't turn my hair blonde)

Consider this one of the first steps in the transition from black to blonde hair. It will lighten your hair, but eventually you will have to use bleach to achieve blond. After removing the black dye from my hair with another product, I used this to lighten it so that I would be able to get more lift from bleaching. If you have natural black hair, your results with this product will be even better. Hope that helps.
