Most beautiful Damascus Blade of all Leopard Knives
Boker presents Leopard 2 as a successor knife to Leopard 1, which is a bit misleading, as the blade is about fifty percent thicker, and the knife overall is much larger and heavier, and occupies different segment from the first one: This knife is larger than Chris Reeve's Large Sebenza 21 and Spyderco Vallotton, and is comparable in weight to Lionsteel SR1.The handle has great fit and finish, but it's classic "coffin" shape could be improved in terms of ergonomics. The blade, on the other hand, is perfect as it is - my knife has the most beautiful, consistent Damascus pattern I have seen on a knife. My particular blade could be a bit atypical from what I saw in the photographs in Boker catalog and elsewhere: - The pyramid lattice is much larger in size and is very regular and geometric, with very evenly spaced layers. The layers are so uncannily even that the overall effect from an outstretched arm is of a solid gun-metal-grey blade with a holographic shimmering diamond-check lattice hovering above it- a rather wonderful stuff and makes any other Damascus look like an undeserving hack job.The blade is oily-smooth to touch, with no artifacts of grinding or shaping whatsoever- all this adding to a rare tactile density that I have not encountered before (except Wootz blades which this one isn't). - I love this blade! There are better knives out there- in fact, my Boker "Tirpitz" has more ergonomic handle, better blade geometry and balance. But if there is a currently-produced folding knife with a better blade (short of Rockstead) I am yet to see it.

Excellent knife.
I find it more difficult to write a review of an item that has no issues, than I do of one that does have a problem of some type. That being said; this knife is an outstanding offering from Böker. The diamond shape of the pattern weld on the blade is a thing of beauty, and the overall operation is the most solid of any of their folding knives I have purchased to date, with zero over-travel in the closed position.(Edit)After having owned this one for a period of time, I have adjusted the review and rating to note that this item is also a high maintenance blade, in that it needs to be inspected and oiled on a regular basis, even when simply being stored in it's case. I also will suggest that it might be better to not store it in the case it came with at all. I left mine in the case in the open position for a period of time, and it has begun to exhibit spots of corrosion on the side of the blade that was in contact with the foam support in the case and only where it was in contact with that foam. While I am still enamored of the pattern on the blade, the rust that has appeared will be difficult at best to remove without leaving evidence of the attempt to do so.

Amazingly practical
This knife can be used as an EDC knife. The pivot is smooth. The blade flys out with a thumb flick. The pocket clip is one of the best on the market. The handle edges have a nice radius and are comfortable in hand and pocket. The lock-up is solid. The star of the show is the damascus blade with a very stunning pattern. My only knock on this knife (and it may just be my copy only) is that I have struggled to get a shaving sharp edge on this blade. Under magnification the damascus layers form more of a micro serrated edge. All and all I enjoy caring this knife.

Superior knife
This is a terrific knife and Deadwood Knives is a quality dealer. I had ordered the item through Amazon as dealer, and it came without the proper items in an original authentic Boker item (red bag, wrench to take off thumb stud, certificate of quality control) and was not properly oiled. So I returned the knife and ordered the same item from Deadwood Knives. It came complete with all appropriate items and was in perfect shape. So I highly recommend the item, and also recommend ordering from the offering stating sold and shipped from Deadwood Knives.

Beautiful Blade
I have owned a few Boker knives before and I always like them, this is a piece of craftsmanship for sure. The blade is absolutely stunning, the handle is solid, tight and well built. You can definitely feel the quality. It comes in a nice display case as this is more of a show piece and collector item than something you would want to use.

Practical and Stunning
This folder is another excellent offering from Böker Soligen. This knife marks the second Böker I have bought. The first is also a Soligen knife I purchased while in Germany years ago, and the quality of this damascus folder is equally remarkable. The minimal and elegant design compliment the beautiful blade. You can't go wrong with this level of German craftsmanship.
