Perfect, and inexpensive, replacement on my 2011 Dodge Ram for an old Lockpick that had failed.
Great product. Installed on my 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 after the old Lockpick V.4 failed. And at about half the cost of a new Lockpick. Provided all the same functionality that I was using in the Lockpick, i.e. rear camera and VES. I couldn't be happier. The install was easy. The old lockpick had a yellow source wire for unswitched power. The PAC unit didn't supply a source for that, but I cut the yellow wire and reconnected it along with the charger unit for my phone that I wanted to be available while the vehicle was off. It works identical to the Lockpick. The PAC unit also didn't supply a source wire for ground, but I cut the main black wire and reconnected with the ground for all the other connections I needed, such as the rear camera, the two video displays for the rear seat, as well as a little video amplifier I needed for the video displays. As with the Lockpick it replaced, it was a non-typical install but was still easy and was done in less than two hours, including downloading the software to program the extra source leads.Interesting side story... I had emailed Lockpick wondering if I could replace the old V.4 with a version that would just plug into the existing V.4 wiring harness so I didn't have to rewire everything. After that, I found on Amazon the PAC unit, which I hadn't heard of before. I researched it and ordered it. It was delivered two days later, ON MEMORIAL DAY, and I had it installed by the end of the holiday. Finally, the next morning, Lockpick answered my email. I told them thanks anyway, but they were just a tad too slow on the response.

Works well in both CanBUS B and C vehicles
I apologize for not taking pictures of this when I was installing it. But here's the situation. I installed the first one in my 2016 Grand Caravan AVP so that I could have back-up camera video on my RBZ430 MyGIG radio screen. I have a super hi-def 128-gig front & rear video recording system in my van which I also bought on Amazon, and it also has a back-up camera feature. But it shows the image in the rear-view mirror, which is hard to see sometimes.OK, this installed very easily in both my Grand Caravan, which uses the high-speed CANbus system C, and also my daughter's 2017 Jeep Compass High Altitude, which uses CanBus B (low speed). For CanBus B you have to cut a wire loop (white with a stripe. Yellow, I think). In any event, the system will then recognize the PAC box and you're good to go. The red LED goes solid red, and you're in. You can hook all sorts of video stuff into your car system with this device, which essentially becomes a multi-purpose node in the network. This box, like it's main competitor, uses DIP switches. I love dip switches. We need to bring them back.I've only had these installed for a few days (daughter's Jeep) to 2 weeks for my van, so only time will tell. But they are working perfectly right now. I considered opting for the vehicle entertainment system option with mine, but the screen resolution for the older MyGIG radios is only 400 x 240 (yikes) so what's the point? OK for a backup camera and a concert DVD, but far from Hi-Def.The installation in the Compass was MUCH easier than the Caravan because the Compass has a lot of room below the radio behind the environmental control panel, or at least it does if your model has basic knobs. Other models might present more difficulty. The minivan required removing the upper glove box and snaking all the new wire harnesses around toward that side.If I have to go back in, I'll take some photos. But the pictures in the ad tell it all. The special harnesses are larger than the box itself.

Install was super easy, and this was by far the best ...
Installed this unit in my 2016 Jeep Wrangler with 430N factory radio and Top Tier Pro TTP-C12B backup camera. Works perfectly. I've heard some people have had programming issues, but you need to make sure you follow the directions and sequence when plugging in for the first time. Install was super easy, and this was by far the best and cheapest on top of that! This unit allows my backup up camera to appear in reverse, forced backup camera view at any time by holding left circular button on back of steering wheel, and NAV input and Video in Motion when you activate by holding the right circular button for 4 seconds on the back of the steering wheel. Perfect!

Does not work on all vehicles listed. Did not work on 2012 SRT Challenger.
The idea is a great one but it DEFINITELY DOES NOT WORK as advertised. I purchased this mainly to add a backup cam to my 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 6 speed manual vehicle which has a factory 730N RHR head unit. Other reasons I purchased it was for enabling entry of NAV addresses (by a passenger) while the vehicle is in motion and to enable video watching capability (for passengers) while in motion.I followed the directions to the letter, and not only didn't the backup can or other features work, but my head unit would only work while the ignition was in ACCESSORY position. Once the ignition was placed in the RUN position, the screen went to a backlit black mode and nothing worked. I installed and uninstalled 3x with similar results. I contacted PAC customer support and the tech was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and told me there is a known issue with several models and years of vehicles and mine was one of those affected. The solution he provided was to downgrade the PAC BCI-CH21's firmware two versions. I was instructed to install version .2, and that would get the backup cam to work.Unfortunately, downloading older firmware made all other features if the PAC BCI-CH21 inoperable.Being this is a known issue and the firmware hasn't been updated since 2017, and the only firmware that actually works in many vehicles is from 2015, it seems a misrepresentation of the applications for which this works is intentional.I paid full price for the unit and only have only 1 of 3 features it contains. For that, they should refund 2/3 of my purchase price.I gave it one star because after numerous installation attempts, hours of online research and finally a call to tech support, the backup cam functions flawlessly, so I gave it one star for that.

plug and play
this went into a 2018 wrangler, and took longer to run the wires than it did to get it to work, I had it up and running in 45 minutes

But I give it a solid 4 1/2 stars because it works OEM like, perfectly
Works perfectly. It really does what it supposed to do. BUT!!! you have to really sit down, and analyze your vehicles wiring harness to know how this item plugs in. I would deduct a half star (which you can't) for the complete lack of information concerning the wiring harness. But I give it a solid 4 1/2 stars because it works OEM like, perfectly.

Very easy to install
Super easy to install. This is really a complete plug and play system to get a factory looking backup camera on your factory screen.Comes with clear instructions!

Does not work anymore
Worked great for the time that it did work. Had my rear view camera working, could input to the nav while in drive , could have passenger wathc movie, and send video to another monitor, but now it has screwed my car. When it is connected my air bag warning light keeps beeping and my radio does not turn on. Disconnected it and have no problems . I dont think it has even been a year. For something that you are paying this much for it should work longer then that.

Worked like a charm
Important to follow the directions but this allowed me to install an aftermarket camera in my chrysler 200 2012.
