Philips SDV5230/27 Foldable Travel Antenna

Been using this for a few months now, and it works great. In fact, it works just as good - if not better - than some of those expensive flat antennae. Range isn't super far, but fortunately, the stations I'm trying to pick up have their broadcast dishes within 20 miles of my apartment. Perhaps the device's best feature is the USB connectivity, which allows me to watch live (and full HD) TV on my computer.

Had to order a few of these because my neighbor below me kept on messing with my cable line....Errrrrr...... Anyway, between the FoxSmart Flat HDTV 1080i and a Mediasonic Homeworx HW110AM.....this one was the weakest antenna between the bunch. Of course, the three stars is based on the expectations of a $5.00 digital antenna. Living in an apartment in Hollywood, I knew it was a gamble.I was in need of something to get a signal. This one even comes with a signal booster. The selling point for me was the size, mounting clip, name brand and booster. Well....it was a let down. I rotated all three antennas to see what works best where....this one under performed big time. Booster made no difference. I got a few channels...but only two major network channels. Kcal 9 and KTLA 5....so, I was bummed. Eh...I'm glad I didn't put all of my eggs in the same basket. Maybe, it works better in an open remote area....I dunno. Well, I gave it to my brother in law and see how he likes it.

Purchased as a gift for a Manhattan dweller and reported to easily provide many local channels for added entertainment options that are FREE.

I bought 2 then went back for another one. I really like that this is so light and portable. The best part might be the clip. Just clip it where ever you can. I was having trouble fitting in an antenna in a couple of my smaller areas - the bathroom for example. I take a little TV out in the yard and this works perfect, also for the portable travel one. It doesn't have just the best range ever - geeze it's small and not powered - but it works real good where there is no major interference.

Really bad antenna doesn't receive any stable channels. The antenna itself is worst then just using a paper clip. It does come with a USB signal booster that works decently saving it a 1-star rating.
