I really like it, I didn't have IKEA-like problems assembling it
It was a great value for the money. I have a 200 pound boyfriend and a 300 pound son, both have sat in the chairs, not problem for them or the chairs. It's just the right size for my small apartment dining area. The real wood is very attractive.

Nice but better off buying it in person at Ikea.
This set normally goes for about $150 at ikea, just an FYI. I couldn't make it to one, and I didn't have the time, so I decided to buy it off Amazon. Home delivery from Ikea is $129 so I figured it was cheaper to buy on Amazon and have the seller deliver it instead. If you can make it to an Ikea you are better off buying it in person because the table top was clearly defective on the side. It looked like it was melted and dented in. This was NOT from the packaging since the box came in pristine condition, and the product was double-boxed as well. You clearly take a big risk buying Ikea products online since you cannot inspect the pieces in person as you would at an Ikea. I was desperate to get a dining table set on a budget, and I was fully aware of the risk I was taking buying this online.Someone in a past review mentioned that the wood is stained but not sealed. I took a close look at it, and it does seem to have a light seal applied to it - more like a sateen finish. I would be weary of trying to restain it without doing some light sanding first - just saying this in case you were planning on directly restaining it based on that review. However, the stain it has is beautiful and it actually matches my honey toast bamboo floors perfectly. It looks better in person than in the first picture where it seems darker. The second picture on this product is more inline with what the color looks like.Assembling it was not a problem. The table might've taken me a whole 5 minutes to put together and the screws/legs/etc seem solidly attached. Chairs were a different story (but still didn't take long), but I suggest having someone sit on the chairs while finishing up the screws to ensure stability.Other thoughts: if you are putting these on hardwood floors, I strongly suggest getting felt pads or else the rough sides of the chair and tables will scratch your floors. This way you don't have to bother putting an area rug underneath the set.

Perfect small rectangular wooden table
Assembly easy and table is sturdy. Chairs are not recommended for people over 200 lbs.

Better than expected
I've bought more Ikea furniture than I care to admit and it's usually very hit or miss. I chalk this table's wins mainly up to a table being simply a top + 4 legs, which makes the assembly really straightforward and the end result durable and sturdy. Nice chunky metal cylinders with threaded holes on the side, slip in to holes drilled down the tops of each leg. These can be tightly bolted to corner brackets on the table, relying on a really firm grip to hold things together, avoiding the usual problem with ikea furniture: structural dependence on notoriously cheap wood. The chairs are slightly under size, which I actually love. Not only are they CUTE, but they actually feel more fitted and comfortable to my girlfriend and me, who are 20-somethings weighing 100 and 160 respectively. It actually seems most dinning chairs are designed for fat people. : )My only complaint, as was clear from the pictures, is the bolt heads are visible on the chairs. This makes it look like assembled furniture. It would be nice if some wooden plugs were provided to cover the bolts. I'll probably just find some elsewhere. As others have noted, all four chairs will not fit pushed in with their backs touching the edge of the table. I don't consider this a design flaw, it's the unavoidable cost you have to pay to have a table this small that seats 4. It doesn't look bad, each chair will just be about 3 inches out from the edge. It might bother you a little at first though if you are OCD like me (for real).

Nice table, came damaged
Table is decent for a small apartment, came with several bits of damage on all the corners and a cracked frame. Worked out issues with seller but be aware it might not come in good condition

Love love
This was my 3rd try in getting this table. First time I ordered from Amazon. It got lost somehow. Second, I ordered it from IKEA and they said there was a computer glitch and canceled the order. So I tried again in Amazon and finally got it! There's a small chip in one of the table legs so I'm trying to figure out how to replace that but it's the perfect color and size for my apartment. Love it

Great Set For An Apartment And Easy On The Wallet!
I love this little set. It's a tad lighter than pictured, but it's very beautiful and small in just the right way. I have a wide array of friends and family, some heavy, some not. Each chair can probably handle about 300 pounds. These chairs are sturdy enough to seat folks without wobbling. The table is very sturdy too. The entire set seems to be made of actual wood, or at least the top layer is. There's a light coating to keep the wood safe and it's not that faux-wood lining that you see on cheaply made furniture. This set is perfect for apartments or very small dining spaces. You can place the chairs on each end too, or side by side. It looks better with 1 chair per side, though. It's a nice blend of minimalist designs and classic designs. Basically, it'll work with any kind of setting. This is my first set from Ikea and I must say I am very impressed (I am used to Walmart furniture or handmade furniture).Just one thing to note, please follow the instructions for proper maintenance. Just like with any furniture that's thin (has short screws/bolts to accommodate the thinner pieces of wood), you will need to tighten them up every few months. I only had to do it once since I bought it (9 months ago), but that's because they only get used 3-5 times a week.
