I customized this as a gift for a friend and it came out perfect. The finish was as pictured and the font I chose was also as I imagined. The lighter was in working order when it arrived all I had to do was fill it up.

It is by no means a bad lighter, just one with a couple of issues:For starters, I got sent the wrong lighter. I ordered the high polish brass and got the brushed brass, not really a big deal, but an issue nonetheless. Also, it came with a number of scratches on both the case and the insert, which I haven't seen on lighters ordered through zippo. Finally, it came with a very loose hinge, so much so that after four months of pretty light use, the pin was falling out. It's an easy fix, but something I wouldn't expect to happen within six months of purchase. None of these issues make this a bad product, (except for maybe getting the wrong product) just one with a lot of avoidable annoyances.The only reason I got this one here and not on the zippo website, was because this seller gave more characters for the engraving, which (for the price) came out well. If I were going to buy this again, however, I would get the zippo from zippo, and have it engraved at a jewelry store. Yeah, it would cost a little more, but you'd probably get a deeper engraving and a better quality zippo because of it. Honestly, it may not even be the sellers fault I got lower-quality lighter, I might have just gotten unlucky, but I've ordered zippos on the official website before and after getting this one, and have had none of the aforementioned issues.TL:DR, If you want to make sure you get the best lighter for your money, get it from zippo's official website and get it engraved after.

Originally bought and looked beautiful. Lost shine over time with use but as expected. Engagement lasted through lots of wear and tear.
