...and the kitchen sink
A beautiful conclusion to the best run Flash has ever had. Yes, it did drag its feet a little in the previous volume, but for this one Waid and Augustyn are bringing everything they've got — and cross the finish line in the most spectacular fashion. Now it's time for Geoff Johns's run on the title. It will be hard for him to top this, that's for sure.

Great Mark Waid Flash Tales!
Focusing on the Dark Flash Walter West, this collection of Flash issues by Mark Waid and Brian Augustyn is excellent! The Dark Flash, while short lived, puts a fresh spin on Wallys powers at the end of the Waid Flash run. It’s a nice collection and the book is of solid quality! Cheers

To all things an end.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my read through of this entire run, such a defining and excellent era of the character, I couldn’t be more satisfied of such a consistently great book, full of heart, action and above all, just tons of fun.I will admit that I would have been perfectly satisfied with Chain Lighting having been the ending of Waid's run on the book, but this story is still great, even if it is a tiny bit disappointing as the end of a 7-year long run. This run has now quickly become my favorite series I have read this year, and I implore anyone interested in Flash or reading comics in general to pick up all 8 volumes of this. You won’t regret it.

Nostalgic early 2000‘s fun!!!
It was such a blast to go back and read the collected story of the Dark Flash, like I did when I was a kid. Mark Waid was getting better as he went and Paul Pelletier‘s artwork is phenomenal early 2000‘s stuff. Everyone had forgotten Linda Park, and there were three Wally‘s running around. Fun stuff!

A great ending to Waid's amazing run!
The final book of Mark Waid's run does not disappoint. Although the book finishes out with some average fill-ins and side stories, the ending of The Dark Flash Saga is genuinely fantastic.

All Good Things...
Waid and Augstyn try to come up with last ideas to revitalize a long run that started to sputter. And while at first the saga of Walter West is promising - and his costume is one of the better variants on the theme - it eventually runs out of steam. There is a reason no one has seen Walter or the Replicant since this ran. But Waid never lost his touch with Wally and Linda or with Impulse. I do wonder if we will get that one last Wally story now that Waid is back at DC.
