I’m so beyond words right now you guys. My heart, my head. My feels all around are a jumbled mess. I knew going in I was in trouble, But what I didn’t think, what I couldn’t have anticipated was how much more I was going to become invested in this series, in these characters, in their lives. I legit felt like I was at Dolar. I was in these scenes with them, almost like I’m one of them. Me...The character with no name, but she’s there in the background, in a room, in the cafeteria.Okay, but seriously!! Like that’s how good the writing is here, y’all. I felt every cut, hit, bruise and heartache, and devastating loss. Like in my heart!! ♥️“The cruel irony is you are my forever but not my right now.”—Oliver MastersI really don’t want to give anything about this book away, it really would be a disservice to Nicole’s hard work, so I will just say… buckle up! Ollie and Mia’s journey is a bumpy ride. It’s full of twists, and turns and unexpected hills and dips. It’s far from over. This is only the second of three books. And I feel though we aren’t anywhere near the surface yet we are starting to see some light. If that make sense?!? There are secrets and lies and I can’t imagine what’s going to happen to them when some of these things come out.This book was crazy in that characters we loved in the first book absolutely shocked the doodle out of us this go round. Like total 180’s y’all. I was like who are you?!?! That’s how shocked you will be. Like mind blown kinda shock! (It was awesome)One thing I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE is this author is giving us so many glimpses of different types of mental illnesses in the different characters personalities. Mental illness doesn’t fit in a box, and I love that she is opening up awareness to that. She has crafted this amazing story that’s allowing her to bring much needed awareness to some real world issues while also telling and spectacular story. But she’s doing it so well as not to pull us into a pit of dispair by the sad things that do happen in the book, and yes there are some sad things. But the way it’s written, is to remind us and get us thinking. That’s the mark of her talent y’all! I look forward to not only this third book, but what she does in the future with other books. I especially can’t wait for the rest of My Ollie and my Mia. Her voice captured every emotion Mia was feeling and brought me right into their story. You could feel the pain and sorrow she felt in her voice as well as the excitement and joy when she was with Ollie. Michael Gallagher did an amazing job with Ollie as well. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to hear the story through his POV. There was such passion when he spoke and even the way he said each of the poems was so heartfelt. I will definitely be looking to see what other books they have narrated.

‘Even When I’m Gone’ kicks us right back into the epic stories of Ollie and Mia. For seven months the two have been separated, Mia having no idea where Ollie is. When Ollie makes his return to Dolor, it’s not the heartwarming reunion that is hoped for. There are things happening that are working to keep Mia and Ollie apart. At the end of the day, they both know they love each other, but is their love enough?This book was gut-wrenching. This one is one that consumed me while I was reading it. Just when I thought I knew what would happen next, Nicole would throw me for a loop. I don’t think I have enough of the right words to describe this book. Parts had my in tears, parts of it had me smiling so wide my face hurt, parts had me wanting to scream. Every. Single. Emotion. That is what this book evoked in me while reading. It was the best though, honestly, this book was beyond perfection. The parts of life that many don’t think about, are the parts that Nicole is diving into head first in her books. I thought ‘Stay With Me’ was epic but holy smokes, ‘Even When I’m Gone’ is even more so. This is a must read, and a top read of 2019 for me.

After the events of Book one and where Stay with Me ended, I was glad I finally had time to sit and read Even When I'm Gone. So as we know from the end of Stay with Me Mia has embraced her emotions and Ollie has turned his off, he became this person who is cold, indifferent and uncaring. For the first section of Even when I'm Gone this stays pretty much the same. As much as you want the happy Mia and Ollie back as they are clearly two parts of a whole, I live for the angst. Ollie's darker persona made me feel, it made me want to keep reading, I was annoyed and disappointed with his actions; but that means the Author is doing a great job of developing her story and her characters!I loved the tumultuous journey this books takes us on with separate story lines running for Mia and Ollie as well as their over arching relationship. Even When I'm Gone added some suspense into the mix with the addition of the prankster targeting Mia, with some secrets being revealed, only to raise more questions in their place. I honestly couldn't believe Nicole threw so much drama into this book, yet somehow it worked! Just when you are lulled into a safe sense of comfort, BAM! something else happens. For me it all fit and it worked well for the book but their were a few elements that didn't work and this is the reason it wasn't a 5 star read.For me personally the book is long winded, there are many scenes that I felt weren't needed, they didn't add anything to the story and sometimes felt repetitive. Moments in the dining hall, it felt a little samey day in day out. However mainly the sex scenes (gasp shock horror I know!) there were a couple of moments between Ollie and Mia that I thought needed to be there for sure, the story lines dictated that intimacy between them it was well placed and relevant. Others however felt superfluous and I found myself skimming over them entirely. The story line and the emotional level of the novel was strong enough that it just wasn't needed and it slowed the pacing of the novel down.That said I loved Nicole's use of Ollie's poetry at the beginning of each chapter. The way she showcased Ollie's inner mind and the struggles he faced over his emotions towards Mia through his medicated haze. The multi-layered plot themes were well managed, and sensitive subject matters were well thought out and delicately written. Plenty of plot twists throughout that kept me guessing but one thing is for sure, the clarity of Mia and Ollie's relationship and the fact that they are made for each other doesn't waver and I am looking forward to reading Book 3.

Mia tries to learn to live apart from him, she cannot move on because it will always be Ollie, but she has a group of friends, a strong bond with one and is working through the days- even if she forgets to breathe. Ollie comes back, however he is not her Ollie, and staying with him even when he is gone might just be too hard to do. ❤‼Holy freeeeeeking hotballs! Wow wow wow. I absolutely adored this second book in the series, the love between Ollie and Mia rivals even the strongest, the writing style is amazing and seriously talented, it really is Poetic! The words are purely beautiful, heart wrenching and devastating... each time it tears me apart with a mix of utter elation and heartbreak... this is easily one of my favourite series of 2019, I'm so pleased to have read them. I appreciate that this is a great follow up. However, there are a few things that stopped it being as believable! In England it's football not soccer. Then, there Lays where in England it's Walkers. This one is much more bright than the first. Apart from the niggles of being set in South of England, I have enjoyed the story very much. Looking forward to the next one!

I’m in love with this book series. After I finished reading Stay with me I couldn’t wait to see where the writer would go next. I enjoyed watching the characters grow even more and how their story’s continue. I would 100% recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read. Probably my favorite out of the holes series. Go read it!!!
