Worth way more than what they sell it for
Was definitely skeptical at first, not often do you see pedals especially at this price point with 5 stars, but wow! Bought this and a noise suppressor and man what a world of difference. My tone is warm and honestly I like it better than the direct signal at this point. Exceptional value for money, quality is fantastic, it fit perfectly because it’s small. Crazy work here man.

This thing makes a HUGE difference!
The online reviews did not lie - this is an amazing little buffer pedal. Removed ALL of the noise in my signal chain (I typically use 10 to 12 pedals) and my amp sounds crystal clear now. Only takes-up a tiny amount of space on my board. I'm using this as an output buffer at the end of my signal chain just before my amp. My tuner functions as an input buffer, otherwise I would buy a second TC Bonafide. Worth every cent, so buy with confidence!

good choice for buffers
The BonaFide Buffer does what it's supposed to do - it buffers your signal to combat against high end frequency loss. I am primarily a worship/praise musician and, at my church, we isolate the amps in a separate room. That means we have LONG cables from the stage to the other room in the back - probably a hundred feet. With such length comes the high end frequency loss, muddying your sound. You can compensate by trying to roll your bass eq back and increase your treble, but this doesn't really work. In such instances, a buffer is the logical and pretty much only choice. What's nice about TC's buffer is that it has a small footprint - I have a Pedaltrain Pro completely full of pedals (about 20), which can also cause signal loss. The buffer fits on my board easily and it's the first thing I plug into before all my other gear. I don't notice any changes when I'm practicing at home. However, in the church, my sound sounds like MY sound that I've worked on arduously at home. It's nice to be able to replicate that. This is definitely worth the price and, if you run long cables or have a lot of pedals, you owe it to yourself to get a buffer; and this is a nice choice.

You don’t know you need this until you try it!
Price was right and does what it says. Noticed an immediate improvement and treble response through my board.

If you think you need it, you do. Get it.
Wow! I am amazed at what this little gizmo can do. I play in a 70's rock band and recently added to my pedal board. I was using a 10' cable from my guitar to my pedal board, then through 5 "true bypass" pedals, then another 20' cable from my pedal board to the mixer, amp, etc. During practice at relatively low volumes, things sounded great, but when it was time for a gig my guitar just sounded muffled. Not a good tone at all. I didn't know about "tone suck" and what true bypass pedals could do to your sound, but through researching forums I realized how your whole rig can rob your playing of tone. I decided to try the BonaFide buffer because of TC Electronics' good reputation with pedals and quality build, and I have a couple of TC pedals and I think they are pretty good. I put it at the beginning of my chain (Buffer - tuner - compressor - chorus - OD - reverb) To repeat: Wow! I am amazed at what this gizmo can do. It really does what it says it does: brings back great tone to your rig. It sounds like you finally got your ears cleaned out. I highly recommend you try this buffer. I can't speak about other buffers on the market, but you can't go wrong with this one from TC.

Great buffer
This is a great buffer, I was just using the polytuner buffer set up at the beginning of the chain and the sound was so different compared with a direct connection to the amp. I placeed the bonafide at the end of the chain and the sound improved so now you cannot determine if I am direct to the amp or using a pedalboard. The bonafide returned the brights and power to my signal.

This WILL surprise you!
Even though I use mostly Boss pedals I was surprised at how much actual signal loss you can get over the course of just 10'-20' of cable. It wasn't a horribly dramatic loss at first but over the course of a few more feet and or a few more pedals, it increases. I try to use as many buffered pedals as possible so I don't have to worry but through a chain of many pedals the amount of tone does drop because sometimes there is no buffered version of some pedals. I didn't realize it until connecting these on one of my pedalboards. It seems to be a combination of the number of pedals you use as well as the length of your cable going into your guitar and your amp. That usually equals at least 20' very easily and often times more length. I like to use a TC Electronics Polytune pedal in the front of my chain and then end it with the Bonafide Buffer to take out any worry of signal loss I might have. It's one of those things that you don't actually notice until you try it. Like most, I assumed I was already getting the perfect signal through my pedalboard to my amp, until I wasn't. On a whim I bought one just to try and yeah there is a difference you can hear for yourself. All 3 tones high, mid and low all were a little better and more distinct to my ear. Even though I use a compressor pedal the signal I was losing previously was noticeable and it wasn't from the compressor. It took me a while to figure out but it turned into one of those "aha' moments after I got the first Bonafide pedal. I have 2 pedalboards and could use one to be interchangeable but I bought a backup just so I wouldn't have to worry about accidentally forgetting to add it to the board I plan on using.

Sehr guter E-Gitarrenbuffer
