Ebony Hill Style Violin Tailpiece with Bone Fret

It arrived a little late by USPS, I wish UPS or FedEx would have delivered it. It was worth the wait though, I put it on my violin and was amazed and delighted to find that I could play easier, and I sounded better. The man who sold it to me was named James, he even added a free soundpost because I had also called to get advice on repairs I could do to my old violin. Although with expedited shipping and Priority Mail Express, I could not be happier with this product, I still gave it five stars because of the great customer service and the quality products. Every violin owner who is working on their violin and/or needs parts, this is the place to go! I attached two photos of my violin: the first photo is my original cheap tailpiece. It is hard to see in the photo but the holes where the ball end strings go are not symmetrical because they are off to the left and are on a slight angle. The one to the right is the violin with my new Alexi tailpiece. Again it has done wonders for my fiddle, I had a hard time before I received this tailpiece and was easily discouraged when playing fiddle, I've been listening to old groups like Gid Tanner and his Skillet Lickers, and others because I am trying to get that "old timey" sound.I felt that my sound was weak and had no drive or emotion. When I slapped this babe on and tuned it up, it had made a noticeable difference to my sound, I had more of a drive and a emotion that I was looking for, I had more room to manipulate the tone, unlike before when it sounded "monotone". Next shopping trip, I plan to upgrade to a new bridge and maybe a better bow. My violin was built in 1970, a West German Stradivarius Reproduction. In the second photo, you can see a difference in the age of the wood lol, the fingerboard is grey compared to my new fancy tailpiece! :)
