Amazing speakers. Incredible sound and bass.
Amazing sound quality and amazing service by the seller. For the price I am shocked at how great these speakers sound. The bass is just unbelievably good. Highly recommended speakers!!!!

Reasonably not very happy about it but acceptable
All my sound experience of Z506 is compared to my broken 15years old one X210 2+1.And I didn’t know how good it was until Z506.The new set looks very impressive but the sound quality is not as you think it would be when tempted by how it looks like. What is better:1. The surround sound that obviously wasn’t by 2+1 speakers.2. The Z506 is very resistant to electromagnetical background waves from mobiles and mains.3. The Z506 is more powerful. What is not better or good enough, or bad, as I expected:1. The sound is not as full frequenced and charm as by old one. The Mediaplayer option of graphic equaliser is helpful. But after like 30 min of trying, still didn’t get what I had before to my ears.2. The subwoofer gives you too much bass or too few, regardless how hard you would try to adjust it.3. The speakers looks like having high and mid frequency in each housing. But there is only one mid. And like empty high freq. speaker to make you thinking there is one. So the impact to make the sound quality poorer is pretty much big.4. The cables:a. one of them is very thick and hard. And if I had chance not to use it it’d be great.b. the other channel cables are not the same diameter as the green audio-in cables, so you can’t adjust the level of each speaker from your computer audio device settings, unless you think you connect additional inputs cables: yellow and black ones, supplied. But still doesn’t work that way. And you have to be happy what is automatically done for you. It’s very annoying. But there one more important sound experience of mine with X210.Like 5 years ago I bought 2nd one same for my kid. And the one compared to my 1st one was worse quality. So I guess the Logitech sound and technology engineers started making them cheaper and worse. From that conclusion the new Z506 is good quality and can impress you. After all I decided to keep it, because the quality I am used to costs like up to £200 probably. What is too much. What is better:1. The surround sound that obviously wasn’t by 2+1 speakers.2. The Z506 is very resistant to electromagnetical background waves from mobiles and mains.3. Good sound system
Nice clear sound and bass but when you adjust the bass to high and starts making popping noise which is annoying when it hold it.

Really 4.5 stars I do really like them but REALLY needs a remote.
My old Videologic speakers had a problem after at least ten years so I brought these for both my PC and use with my TV equipment. Overall I have been very impressed personally I think they work better with my TV stuff than my PC but both are great. On the TV side I have just written a review of the digital to analogue converter 192khz/24bit.As I expected I had to extend the rear speakers so I brought the cables at the time, what I didn't expect was for the front left right speakers to be so short as well. I also don't know whether my Asus d2x soundcard was manufactured wrongly or they all have this problem but I also needed to connect black to the yellow socket at the speaker end. Also what should be the left channel has to become the right so the front speakers need to be put on opposite sides from the intended. My old speakers also had problems with my d2x.As the intended left speaker does not use a standard connection because it controls power and volume putting it on the right must have bent the power switch pin as the switch no longer worked after I moved them. Not a problem as I now use a switchable multi-plug. Reversing the rear speakers is very easy though as you only need to swap the connections. If you need to do all this for your PC but like me also use the stereo inputs for TV equipment just remember to connect red to white and vice versa at the subwoofer so the inputs cross.I have no idea what they are like at maximum volume I have no wish to offend my neighbours but PC sound is great and using the DAC I mentioned earlier TV and movie watching is superb, the speakers and bass are plenty powerful enough for my small room.If the power switch had not stopped working so soon I would have been even happier. However as they can be also used for TV/movie watching I would have been happy to pay extra for a proper wireless remote control for volume and bass as the bass control is also on the back of the subwoofer.

Faulty Volume Control Wire
The speaker with the volume control is faulty after 3 years of use.The connection is faulty and the audio is frequently shifting between static noise / unbearably loud / and too quiet to hear. All use outside of this issue was fine, good speakers while they were working. Randomly started being faulty.

Good value, big sound
Unboxing this left me wondering whether Logitech will eventually do away with instructions altogether one day, but as they're just a set of speakers, I guess a few trees got to live, so it's all good. The subwoofer box is fairly small, but for the price it delivers a good rumble, and the four small speakers offer up a decent sound quality that belies their small size. They don't have much weight to them though, so I've used stick-backed velcro to keep them on my shelves. The front speaker takes up a fair amount of room, but has a little bracket on the underside that allows you to tilt it up to past 90 degrees for no apparent reason.Cable lengths are pretty generous, with the rear speakers getting about 3m, while the fronts get around 2m. The control cable is routed to the right front speaker, where you find the volume control and on/off switch. The cable is therefore thicker than all the others, and terminates in a D-Sub VGA style connector that screws into the sub. The cable is a bit too rigid for the weight of the speaker, and could cause some irritation, especially if you are stretching it to its limits. The sub connects to the back of your PC via three 3.5mm jack plugs that are colour coded for ease, which is always nice. The other speakers and their cables are all connected via colour-coded RCA jacks, which makes adding extension cables if needed a doddle. I added a 3m extension for my rear speakers to route them over the ceiling and down behind me. Many cable staples later, and everything is fitted and working nicely. The 3D sound is pretty convincing, and for the price, you'd struggle to improve. The first box arrived with a dead cable (or connector/circuit) to the rear and centre speakers, so had to go back. Second time lucky on this occasion, but Amazon picked up the faulty one and sorted out a replacement quickly enough to make it almost painless. I've deducted 1 star for the QC guy that was clearly too busy elsewhere, and for the lack of any detailed instructions. Take careful note of how you unbox the speakers just in case you have to send them back for any reason. It's like some infernal Chinese puzzle in there!
