BASENOR Windshield Sunshade for 2017-2026 Tesla Model Y Model Y L Model 3

I am incredibly pleased with my purchase of this BASENOR sunshade for my Tesla! I was looking for a custom-fit solution, and this product absolutely delivers. Right from the start, I was impressed by how compact the package is. It comes with its own silver storage bag and a helpful user manual. The shade itself folds down surprisingly small into a black circular shape, making it easy to store in the car when not in use. The fit is where this sunshade really shines. It's clearly designed specifically for the Tesla's unique windshield shape. Installation is straight forward, just pop it open and secure it. It provides complete coverage from edge to edge without any annoying gaps around the edges. Looking from the inside, you can see how snugly it fits, even accommodating the large central touchscreen. It provides an impressive blackout effect that is great for privacy and heat rejection. From the exterior, the reflective silver surface looks clean and fits flush against the glass. The dual-layer design (silver out, black in) does an excellent job of blocking UV rays and significantly lowering the temperature inside the car, which is crucial for protecting the interior. Overall, the quality feels durable, the fit is impeccable, and the effectiveness in cooling the car is undeniable. This is a five-star accessory, and I highly recommend it to other Tesla owners!

I’m seriously impressed with this sunshade. The coverage is excellent—it fits the entire windshield with no gaps, which is hard to find. What really stood out to me is how well it stays in place. The corners don’t sag or fall down like others I’ve tried, even in the heat. It’s also easy to install and remove, and the material feels durable while still folding up nicely when not in use. It even comes with a nice slim storage case, which makes it easy to tuck away without taking up much space. Huge difference in keeping the interior cooler, especially on hot days. So if you want a windshield shade, like I did, this isn’t bad. It does reduce the temps overall, especially the heat on the seats and likely on the screen (I haven’t compared it to other products, it’s the only one I own, and I haven’t done much in terms of studying the temperatures). **It works, it fits a Model 3** . Other than a very small area (where it attaches around the mirror) it blocks the entire windshield, as well. It’s very easy to put up, you just use the visors and a Velcro strap it has to secure it. The size of it can be annoying when putting it up, as you have to squeeze it into the car through the door, rubbing it into random spots on your interior and what not. It’s not an issue if you take your time, but doing it every day it can be annoying I guess. I suppose that’s normal though, what else would I expect? It’s a big sunscreen, of course you have to fit it into the car. The main thing I want to stress is that you shouldn’t buy this just because it comes in a little bag and looks easy to store. Right now mine is sitting in my trunk, as always, folded in half and not in the bag, taking up space (not much space, it’s flat and light, the only annoying thing is that it sits over the bottom storage area hatch). While I’ve gotten very close to folding it back up, I can’t get it quite small enough for the bag. That said I haven’t looked it up (how to fold it), and didn’t pay attention when first opening it; namely, a smarter person may be able to handle it. For me? I have given up on the folding, maybe one day I’ll look it up or try it again. It doesn’t come with any clues. It basically works by having a springy metallic frame inside that can be folded and twisted into a small circle when done correctly, I just can’t quite get it perfect enough to fit. So, basically I recommend it as a sun shade, but I wouldn’t buy it solely for the small footprint, unless you’re much thriftier than I am or pay more attention to the details when you unwrap it initially. Most likely it’ll end up folded in half in your trunk, but it will work just fine for it’s intended purpose and it’s cheap.

I like this sun shade better than the one I paid extra to have the Tesla logo fo on it. This one job at works so much better from better material used to better technology and better fit. Everything's just better. The multilayers were better. The memory metal wire is better. It blocks the sun better and it looks nsulate the h at better. The other boy anomaly with Tim his item is that, at least on my unit, the elastic loop to keep it from popping open again is not there. And I don't miss it tucks away neatly in the he included storage bag complete with a velcro closure. It gives me joy using a better product and keeps the interior of my car under the scorching SoCal sun so much cooler.

This sun shade has been a life saver for our 2023 Tesla this summer! We use it when our car is going to be sitting in the hot sun for a few hours, like going to a movie. Keeps the inside of our car from getting so hot, we can actually touch the steering wheel! The fit is perfect, covers the entire windshield. It folds up nice when you’re through!

Just received the Windshield Sunshade for my Model Y and it works great! It is super lightweight and very easy to store. The sunshade folds very easily pretty small and I have had no issues getting it back into the storage bag. It comes with a nice drawstring bag to store it in that will fit anywhere in the car. Personally I store it under my driver's seat. Overall it works great! It pretty much covers the whole windshield. It has a velcro as well to go around the mirror to really get every bit of the window covered. It feels like it really reflects the sun well. It really helps as it does keep the car quite cool and comfortable when parked in the sun. I did not have to run the AC as hard when sitting waiting for my kids from their practices. Overall great product, and I plan to buy another one for my Model 3 soon.

It fits perfectly, and does help keeping the car a bit cooler. Only thing is that to fit the windshield, the frame of it is pretty big. That makes it a bit hard to put it up or store away.

Great coverage- fits windshield perfect and blocks sun. My problem is that it does not fold back up to be put into the cover well at all. You have to get out of the car and even then you have to fold several times before it *kinda* fits into the cover. I searched on YouTube and there are no videos to help, either. Going to find an easier option

Good solar shade, easy to unfold and fold and stores perfectly in my side compartment.

Sunshade fits perfectly and helps keep the front of the car cool. Works even better if you have a sunscreen for the sunroof and the back. Folding it back up is an art, but that's expected with these types of screens. Takes a few times to learn and after that, it's easy. Worth the money.
