I'm pretty handy with tools / equipment so I was frustrated with the challenge of figuring out how to fasten the chain bar to the saw (I had to refer to the manual several times). Unless one is determined or really needs a chainsaw right now, I can see why one might give up and send it back.Once it got it together though, I was very impressed. I have gas chain saws that require constant maintenance and fuel. We have giant fir & cedar trees here that loose branches every year, so for $49 I just wanted a little saw for my spring cleanup.However, this year after one of our cedar trees fell, in a wind storm, I decided to cut it into lumber to build our grandkids a fort to play in. I would not recommend a first time chainsaw user do this but I put this electric saw to work, slicing the tree into long boards. As you can see it did the job.Note: The knob that holds the chain bar onto the saw vibrated loose several times, causing the chain to loosen up and the case to fill with sawdust. I had to take it apart to clean and reassemble each time. Checking it often helped but for this reason I'm giving it 4 stars for easy to use and 3 stars for assembly. I got my $49 worth, and I know this saw will cut tree branches into firewood for me so I'm very happy with it.

It was difficult for me to assemble the chain. I did not understand the directions. The first try to use it did not work because the chain was loose. I reopened and readjusted the chain, and it worked perfectly in cutting up a huge redwood branch that had fallen in my back yard during the January 2023 storms that hit California so hard. Now that it's assembled, I really do like it.

This is so much easier to use and maintain than a gas chainsaw. I have easily chopped down young trees of around 8-10 inches. I purposefully chose a 9amp product so that I wouldn't be close to tripping a household outlet and it is not lacking in power for the task.Assembles quickly and easily (although there does seem to be one step in the instructions that doesn't seem to apply to this model). Oil level view window is very convenient. Amazing value.

Never owned used chain saw before. Assembled easily, directions easy to follow. Handled anything I tried to cut. Used it to clear out scrub trees on the edge of my property. Purchased because I prefer electrical products rather than gas-powered.

I am changing my review becasue I was impressed by the approach of this company.Although I could not return the chainsaw, although I wrote a critical review (gave them 1 star), although there was no request, not even a hint (and no guarantee) that I would change the review... they reached out and sent me a new chainsaw.Of course, the ideal sceanrio would be to have a working tool in the firts place...nevertheless, I liked their approach.This was my original critical comment:I bought it in November and held it in the garage for a few monts thinking to use it in the spring... I only got to do a few cuts (no more tahn 30 min of use, and it stopped turning the chain. It gets power, it makes a noise as if the engine is turning, but it does not turn the chain (and the chain is in placed correctly on the ax).I guess I got what I paid for... cheat tool, short lived.I cannot return it because it passed the deadline for support. I don't see an option to contact the manufacturer.

As my review stated, this is the worst purchase I’ve ever made. I bought this a while ago with plans to cut very, very, very, small plants and bushes in my yard. Today, I woke up ready to conquer the task.Using this saw, I successfully cut down a total of 0 baby trees. As others have stated (I should have read the reviews) the chain becomes loose and breaks within seconds. I’m 35, my only hope is that this remains the worst purchase I’ll ever make.
