Very nice but no audio out kills it - but you can fix it
Its a very nice gadgetMuch faster than aaxa P1jr, runs 16 gb sd cards (P1 did only 8gb SDs) and 55 lumens is very good for a almost dark room, something like you really let your living room when watching TVOn battery it runs 35 lumensOn power (55 lumens) side by side in a dark room with a powerfull LG PA70G 700 lumens led projector (biggest led projector yet), you wont feel much difference (but dont get room lights on or the difference will appear very hard...)The problem is the lack of audio outThats because the best thing in this gadget is its portability, by farSo if you want it portable, you wont be hooking it to your phone with a lot of wiresBut its speaker sound is very low, so you certainly will not hear absolutely anything in a restaurant, for example (yes, its main use is to entertain your childs while in a restaurant, because in your house you will use a bigger projector, of course)So if aaxa would spend 50 cents more and install a audio out connector, for a portable powered speaker or a headphone, this would be a perfect gadgetBut the way it is, its like a soundless movie projector in reality, nice if you like movies from Buster Keaton or Oliver Hardy, that dont need to be heard ...In my case, I will open it and install a conector myself, but i know how to do this, and did it in my P1 jr (P1 specs says it have one 3.5mm audio out, but its not true at all)Hope this intervention do not overheat something and burn it, but is the only way to make it usablePitty, because its a very nice machineAdded later:I finaly opened it and installed one audio out connectorIts not much difficult to doIf you want, there is barely space to install one stereo P2 connector inside it, so nobody will realize it have been alteredIn few words, I did cut one of the speaker wires ond ironed the conector between the cutted wires, so the out speaker or headphone will be in series, not in paralel, which assures you the projector wont burn, becaus you are really lowering the power out(you can even use P2 extra pins to short circuit connector when you unhook speaker out, so internal speaker will stay working when the connector is unhhoked - I did this way on mine)When done, audio is very very loud then in a headphone, very nice ( of course, you can lower audio level in projector's controls)Even with some audio out portable speaker the audio out is very good and loud if you needLast, watching its inside you can realize it is very well made, and uses 2 very compact and powerfull 2 amps lithium batteriesSomebody on AAXA put lot of effort in itAnd best of all, it have HD resolution, and one HDMI in connector, micro size (seems a larger one but its not - but you can buy a adapter cable for U$2 anywhere)Did buy 2 more of those projectors this week and will tweak them alsoVery nice

Excellent Image Makes Up for a few Issues That I Can Live With...
As a projector that projects a decent image at a decent to very good image, it is excellent. The unit comes with a USB power supply (using a plug adapter from a local bargain store and it works well.)Has included speaker or speakers and they are OK for basic use.I found that if I run this device off my laptop and connect a Bluetooth speaker, I can crank up the sound enough for watching movies. It runs well off battery power, though dimmer. It is OK in very low light with a smaller screen setting/4.3 ratio is OK, 16.9 a tad better but I like both. The included built-in kickstand is. as far I am concerned totally redundant. Not even worth the bother, beats me why they included it.Lack of tripod support is an issue, so I have super-glued a nut to the bottom of the projector (YIKES!) and can now use a tripod...The screen is bright enough in low light but better in near pitch-dark conditions.I paid less than $140 delivered...for that price I can overlook the few failings that I can make do withoutThis would have been much better with a headphone socket or Bluetooth but using the Bluetooth speaker ensures I get the sound I need....As it is, I actually like it a lot. for a tiny unit like this it is much better than previous projectors I have owned. It is highly highly portable.and a bargain for the price. It loses one star for the few less than significant failings...a very nice projector for people like me want a very compact portable projector with a decent image!

Beware of extras
Beware:Although I've found nothing wrong with the AAXA P2 Jr. Pico Projector, I must caution you before you make the purchase. I bought mine to use with my iPhone 5 as a way of projecting images on wood to trace and paint. The bulb seems pretty bright and I think it will do just fine; however, as of this writing I've yet to use it. There are additional items you must purchase separately in order for the iPhone 5 and projector to talk with each other. Sadly none of these are mentioned on line or in the booklet that accompanies the projector. You will need to purchase an HDMI male to Mini HDMI Male Cable and a Lightning Digital AV Adapter. These extra items can be purchased from Amazon for around $50 or you can get the adapter at Best Buy for $53 and the cable for about $16 but they may not carry the cable at your BB store. Mine did not have one but said I could get one on line. Since I have to wait on the cable anyway, I decided to buy all the EXTRAS from Amazon and save some cash.Had I known of the extra expense, I might have gone with a different brand. So bare all this in mind when you make your selection.UPDATE: The cable I ordered from Amazon turned out to be the wrong one - my bad. So, I found one at a local computer store and now I'm in business. The cable was about $10. Long story short, the projector is working great and in a semi-darkened room works very well.

Lovely little projector
I've had this for just over a year and have been very pleased with it for the price. It is really small and portable. I originally bought it to practice my presentation skills with and it was perfect for that. In a brightly lit room it does not fare well, but with dim lighting and powered via the AC adapter it is not too bad. However, since buying it I (and the kids) have used it mostly for watching films and playing games for which it has been great. It is light enough to hold in your hand and project on the walls or ceiling. Here are my top tips and gripes:1. The stand is rubbish and mine snapped off. However, you can easily add tripod support by using a mobile phone holder such as the Mudder Phone Holder which costs less than £5 - this clips nicely to the back leaving the sockets and air vents clear. Mudder Universal Smartphone Holder Mount Monopod Tripod Adapter of Selfie Stick with Double Screw Head for iPhone 6Plus 6 Samsung Galaxy (Screw Mount) 2. It comes with a composite A/V cable allowing connection to older games consoles such as the Wii. Some of the pictures in the manual show this as having female connectors, but mine has male so I needed to buy cheap adapters in order to connect my Wii console. 5pcs Audio Video RCA Female to Female Coupler Joiner Barrel Adapter 3. I can connect my smartphone (a Sony Xperia) with a special MHL/HDMI adapter. Not all of the smartphones in our house have this capability so look for MHL support for your phone / tablet before buying the appropriate adapter. This works well for projecting things like YouTube, but for games playing there are too many cables attached. HNPtech MHL to HDMI TV-out for Sony Xperia Z Adapter HDTV 4. When watching videos the "goto time" feature has not been implemented. The option is there, it just doesn't work. Shame, as if you restart a film you have to use FF - the max rate is 16x.I did query this with AAXA and this was their response (eventually):"I believe the issue here is that feature is reserved for our higher end models, it appears on that model because they use similar software but the functionality is restricted to higher end units."5. I knew there was no separate audio output when I bought it and that was fine for my original purposes. However, as a movie or games projector it is limiting. I think if you connect with the composite cable, then you would have the option of splitting the audio out to an amplifier, but I haven't tried this. Get what you pay for
It is possible that my projector was faulty but generally i would say it was just poorly built. The projection has a large circular bleed to the right of the screen and occasional 'zig zag' pattern on the right edge. It went out of focus on it own and the tiny (hard to use) focus wheel felt loose. in complete darkness the projection seemed bright enough and the price was very cheap.Pros:Many ways of connectingMenus simple to navigate.Tiny sizeCons:No keystoneNo Audio output jack (has tiny built in speaker)Felt cheapHard to focusMenu auto plays a small video preview which became very annoying.Settings reverted to default when turned off. (eg colour settings, aspect ratio, etc)I will be returning this product and putting the money towards a better projector.

Perfect, fo what you need
perfect for presentation or client interviews, when you do not know what equipment you will have at your mercy. Won us a project on its own, as we were able to put across our vision in pictures and not just words

It is not great quality. But it is light weight
Mixed experience. It is cheap for what it does. However my first one broke within a few months of use. It is not great quality. But it is light weight, has multiple input option, runs with fair brightness without battery and has 4:3 aspect ratio (which I find a lot more multiple purpose that the 16:9 almost all picos seem to have).

These are magic little machines. We used a couple in a theatre project and they performed at least as well as we could have hoped for. Everywhere we used them, people asked about them and couldn't believe the price.
