This is exquisite halva! The taste is just as a true halva should be - sweet but not cloyingly so, with a warm, fresh sesame depth. The texture is also just as it should be - slightly crumbly, not too oily, with a lovely quality on the tongue. The cardamom flavor in particular is fantastic. The halva lovers in our life always appreciate the Seed + Mill brand, and for those who are newly introduced to halva, they love it too. Bravo.

Odd texture. What is going on with this weird product? Is it really old or something? Smells like old sesame - firm like rubber - tastes like plastic. I like the gritty, fresh-scented, dry and flaking halva. No pleasure here.

Halvah has been a favorite of mine since I was a child. It is nearly impossible to find in standard grocery stores, even those that carry exotic foods. It may appear oily when it arrives (not refrigerated). This does not indicate spoilage. Just keep it refrigerated and any oily residue on top will soak in. Cut into chunks as desired and serve after it is cold. Seed + Mill makes delicious Halva. I've tried many brands, and this one has become my go-to. For those who have never eaten Halva before, I cannot guarantee that you will like it. But if you are one of those people who, like me, craves the product (at least periodically), I highly recommend this brand.

This is a GREAT brand and all of their halvah offerings are great. This one has pieces of dried but moist cherries in it. The halvah is sort of flaky ( in a halvah type of way!) and fresh. I only wish there was more cherries through out. It's expensive but totally worth it.

I love anything pistachio but this halva was disappointing-dry and not sweet enough. 😞

I can't buy this product locally, and the estimated shipping time was three days, so I thought it would be okay. Then it kept slipping, and this is a food product with a significant amount of fat in it. Much better to ship in cooler weather, and the date kept slipping until it was past the time I was leaving town for a week. Which then added to the time without refrigeration. The PRODUCT is excellent. However, do take care when you order it to be shipped. My package arrived somewhat greasy, which isn't so appealing, and therefore I can't recommend it as giftable. After firming up in the fridge, it was fine. But the anxiety I felt was not something I want to do again.
