Worked just as it should
MasterTemp 300 would not keep running. It would ignite then run for a minute and shut down. Never letting hot water to the pool. Pulled out the thermal regulator and found the old part was corroded and would not move, so ordered a new one. 2 days later it's installed without issue and works great. Heater works again.

Easy fix
If you heater short is cycling or not coming up to temp correctly. This is a great spot to start. After replacing all electrical temperature sensors, this fixed the problem.
