Avoid at all costs.
Appalling after sales/ tech support. I can generally work a problem out for myself so if I find myself in a position where I need to ask for outside assistance I really require help.I will quote the review title again ," avoid at all costs".No help was forthcoming from Phillip's at all.In fact the call was ended three times even after waiting and speaking directly to a so called expert.Thoroughly dissatisfied.

Nice TV, but...
I'm pretty much using this TV as a 'dumb' TV - it's not network connected, and I don't plug in an aerial or satellite. All my content comes via a long HDMI cable or from an old Wii. The sound comes out of Sonos, so I don't even use the speakers on the TV. For this purpose, this TV is pretty good. It takes a bit too long to 'start up' when you turn it on (about 10 seconds) and you have to look at a Philips logo while this all happens, but it's not an insurmountable problem.Things go wrong pretty quickly in the details though. I use a universal remote control to do all the switching on, selecting inputs and whatnot. Philips themselves confirm there are no infra-red commands to directly choose inputs - so I've bought a £20 HDMI switch to switch between the (upscaled) Wii or the regular TV inputs. It's a shame to have to use such a device when the TV has a load of HDMIs that now sit entirely idle. I did try getting the remote to "press" the "source" button and select the next input along and all that - but it's very unreliable. There isn't even a way to say "always start up on HDMI1" or "go to the first input in the list", so you're on a road to pain if you try to automate the TVs menus.Just in case anyone else makes the same mistake as me - there is no 'component' input on the TV. You're pretty much HDMI only (other than USB, I guess). You can buy cheap adaptors for an old Wii though.Elsewhere, the cheapness of the TV can be found in the legs. They're pretty cheesy plastic things, and they attach pretty much on the extreme ends of the TV. You have to go on a proper Internet hunt to find the spacing between them (sorry, can't remember exactly - it's about 880mm, so wider than the space I have available). Thankfully, the VESA mounting is available, so I had to use a £20 stand (beware, the VESA mounts are only 200mm apart, so if you put legs directly below them they'll be a bit narrow to support a TV nearly a metre wide!).The remote control feels a bit plasticy, hollow and clicky too. Perfectly functional, but just not terribly tactile. There are buttons for Netflix and Freeview and whatnot, if that's your bag. Personally, mine's in the cupboard, so not any further concern. All that said, it's well priced and looks great. The default screen mode may be a little dark, but there are loads of other options to choose from, or else go crazy and set it up yourself. For games it seems to work fine for the Wii games we have (not exactly super-modern shoot 'em ups!). I've yet to try genuine 4K, but HD looks very nice, as does regular SD (satellite) TV.As I say I haven't tried the 'smart' options or any of the 'apps'. The menus seem reasonable enough, although possibly a bit "over stocked" with options, but you can edit them down a bit if you want. My general experience with TV apps is that they tend to be pretty crappy, given the other details about this TV I wouldn't expect these to be much better, but you never know, I guess. In summary, I wish TV manufacturers would additionally make dumb TVs (possibly with only 1 HDMI input) rather than make super-complex-but-not-very-good ones such as this. However, the screen (which is probably the most important bit) is good. The sound (for the brief moment I had it on) seems competent enough too. Priced well, so generally pretty happy with it (once I've forgotten about the extras I had to buy to get it working).

Good value and good quality.
I have had the TV now for around a month. I can’t really find any faults. Audio is nothing jaw dropping but about what you would expect. Image and colours are decent. User interface is easy to navigate and responsive. If you want a good value 4K tv. This is a good place to look.

Make sure to use the correct mode for what you want.
So for gaming you NEED to make sure that you use the Game mode. Not the standard mode. In standard I got weird artifacts all over the screen on certain games, mad eit u playable at times. Put the TV setting to game mode and it's perfect.I am genuinely stunned at how good Forza Horizon 4 looks. I have never seen State of Decay 2 look so smooth. The Hdr10 really shines once calibrated on both the Xbox and the TV.
