Not as good as other sharpeners. The reason is because of the mechanism. The fact that it's not stable against a surface (like regular knife sharpeners) means you are more likely not to run the knife smoothly through it. If you get the angles right, it does what it's supposed to.

La soluzione pratica e rapida per un'affilatura efficace, ma non aspettatevi che l'affilatura duri a lungo. Se il coltello è utilizzato spesso, occorre dare una ripassata ogni 10-15 giorni. Se volete affilature più durevoli, occorre passare alla pietra per affilatura, ma lì le cose si fanno lunghe e complicate, come ho già spiegato in commento a quel prodotto. Dunque: acquistatelo: se avete poca pazienza, volete risultati rapidi ed efficaci, avete coltelli di valore medio-basso che potete "sacrificare" ad un'affilatura brutale e che asporta metallo; non acquistatelo: se siete cultori dell'affilatura, volete dedicare tempo a questa attività, vi interessa un'affilatura raffinata e durevole, volete preservare i vostri coltelli di valore perchè durino una vita. In ogni caso, questo prodotto offre il risultato che promette, quindi merita un voto alto. Nota: bisogna imparare ad impugnarlo correttamente. Farsi male è difficile, ma possibile, quindi ragionate prima sul meccanismo di funzionamento e sulla direzione in cui deve stare la mano che impugna l'affilacoltelli e quella in cui bisogna "tirare" il coltello. Fate attenzione anche a tenerlo perpendicolare all'incavo, altrimenti non si affila e fate fatiche inutili.

割と小さなサイズ感で、手軽に包丁が研げるので重宝しています。 勿論砥石等と比べたら切れ味は劣りますが、一般使用であれば十分切れるようになりますし、スペースも必要ないので便利です。

Excellent knife sharpener. I sharpened not only my Victorinox but also the other five knives that were out of use because of dullness. The cutting edges came out so crisp that I actually could slice paper. I'd been searching for a good knife sharpener and this is it. It is very comfortable to hold and since I have arthritic hands this was important.
