Unzip it and run it. Check device manager and in the COM Ports section you should see a new Port. That will be the port, in this CASE Port 5, that you will need to select when you run CHIRP

As per title - This worked perfectly on the latest build of Windows 10 - no messing about with the drivers - simply plug it in and Windows detects it.I have successfully used it with CHIRP to program both the BF-888s and BF-88e.Great item and price!

I'm writing this review so You can learn from my mistake.Yes, the item arrived on time. Yes, packaging was OK. No, the cable is NOT working out of the box. It took me quite some time to figure it out.If You take your valuable time, You'll figure that the market is flooded with counterfeit devices like this. So good luck sifting through tens of web-sites and YouTube videos, and then trying to mess up your PC with all these unknown 3rd party .exe driver installers. Well, You get what You paid for... Sigh...The seller was NOT helping either. My request to help me with correct windows driver triggered Seller's long message in broken English basically blaming everybody under the Sun but not them. They even told me I used a wrong version of Windows )))) Good sense of humour, I should say.Finally, after a few days reading all these articles on the internet, I was able to straighten things out. The correct driver for this cable on Windows 8 is USB Serial CH340. If You're struggling with this device, You may want to try it. At your own risk of course ;-)But if You're smarter than me, than just RUN away from this product )))) It's not worth wasting your life, IMHO

Jamas pude programar los radios puesto que no tengo para leer cd en la computadora. Posteriormente pedi un link u otro medio... y los links que me mandaron primero no eran para IOS y después si me los volvieron a mandar para IOS pero el cable no reconoce el radio ...Asi que no funciono.

I purchased this Baofeng cable to update channels using chirp. I have added the correct drivers (3.2.0.0 - but uses Prolific chipset) and I have checked all ports. But in spite of this I get an Error message "Error Reading Data - not the amount of Data we want." There are no solutions on the Chirp Blog. Apparently this is a cable (hardware problem). I am the second person in my club that has had this problem with the cheaper cables. I now have to buy a better cable.
