Noodles have been IMPROVED! (Kung Pao)
THEY CHANGED THEIR NOODLES.. NOW ITS TWICE AS GOOD, IMO!Thinner noodles and they taste better too.. the noodles for me were the weak link, but its organic, so.. give and take. The broth is so good I didn't mind the blandish-tasting kinda thick noodles with interesting texture. But with this change (roughly March or April is my guess), these are twice as good as original-thin noodles soften more and taste WAY better.I discovered these at my local co-op about 10 yrs ago and loved them for a work lunch or snack.Spicy Kung Pao is my favorite - spoiler: its not spicy, its just YUMM!!

Quality Ingredients
Excellent and tasty. I love that it’s vegan and made with organic ingredients. Just add boiling water, cover and wait 15 minutes. Yummy. I could live on these alone.

Pros and Cons
TLDR: It tastes like a classic instant noodle soup with vegetables and a broth tuned to that of a chicken noodle soup (oniony flavor), but it has no salty tang to it like in other more abundant products high in sodium. It tastes good though! Will probably buy again when I run out. The price is a bit high for everyday use for someone with a budget like mine though, so I use it as an occasional snack, but for that purpose at least it's still worth it to me. Also, as some have said before, the fill container is not big enough and it will spill over if left in the original container....And the rest:As someone health-conscious about the kinds of foods I consume (and, yes, a vegan), I find the ingredients pretty satisfactory. Yummy typical instant noodle taste. PLUS I'm not personally fond of (most) super salty foods in general (save french fries and potato chips, can't abandon those), and these taste yummy without that tang - my personal preference. Even if you love salt, not all soups are salty and IF it's not an utter NEED to you in this type of food like it is for me with french fries, I'd still suggest you try it out if you like taking care of your health (or are trying to do a better job at it) or have a need to reduce sodium in your diet. Because... Yummy. For me, these soups are a nostalgia thing, having grown up with Top Ramen and such in elementary school, long before becoming vegan at age 18 (because my family never approved of my innate idea of ethics and would push theirs unto me). And I've never seen vegetable instant noodle products at any local stores. I've always lurked to check... but nope, they only sell the varieties with meat in them (if vegetable versions of those big brands even exist - I only started checking after having heard rumors of it). Glad to have an alternative online that hits that nostalgic note for me, hence why I use this as a treat and not an everyday thing, but as I said, it's worth it to me.And on to the fact that this container isn't big enough... I mean, I figured that on my own from personal experience with instant noodles once seeing how close the fill line is to the rim. I didn't even bother to test that method of cooking it out for myself. It also makes it near impossible to mix the powder mixture into the soup before cooking without it spilling over because of how close to the rim it is. So what I figure is best is to pour the water in to the fill line then pour that into a separate bowl and add the powder mixture AFTER transferring it and mix it in. If you add the powder to the original container and try to transfer to another bowl before mixing it, it will just clump up together and stick to the bottom of the container since it hasn't been mixed yet - which wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't too small of a container in the first place - but in this case it adds time if you go through the hassle of adding more water back into the container to rinse out the rest of the powder.Oh, and on a separate note, I'm positive that reviewer who said their product tasted like spoiled food was somehow mistakenly sent a rotten batch. I certainly didn't have an experience like that at all and it doesn't seem too common by the other reviews seen here.

Looks great I will order again
I couldn't wait to try this Dr. McDougall chicken soup. There were only a few left. Let me tell you my story. I had the soups for only one day. I was eagerly waiting to try the Low Sodium Chicken noodle. The morning I was about to eat my soup our dogs were barking in the backyard. We discovered they cornered 2 about 5 week old gray kittens. One of them was bravely hissing at our dogs protecting the other one from harm. We were able to pick them up with gloves and placed them in a pillowcase then into cardboard box. We then put the two lil kittens in a dog crate. I spent the entire morning searching for a rescue group to take them. Our local animal shelter refuses to take cats. Everyone was full. I went out and purchased kitten food, canned and dry. I set the food on our kitchen island next to my McDougall chicken soup. I was running out of time before I needed to go to work in the afternoon I didn't have time to eat the soup. While at work I posted the 2 kittens on my neighborhood Facebook group and at the end of the day an angel in the form of a human appeared and wanted the kittens! I was still at work so I called my husband. I gave the address of where to take the kittens. I told him to give everything that I had bought on the kitchen island to the people who were taking the kittens. When I arrived home that evening craving to try my new Dr. McDougalls chicken soup it was gone! My husband had given all of my soups to the lady who took the kittens! I messaged her about the soup and told her she could keep them. She was confused as to why the kittens would need Dr. McDougalls Vegan Chicken Noodle soup for food alongside kitten kibble but I guess a starch diet is good for everyone. My husband was devastated that he gave my soup away thinking it was kitten food. We had good laugh. I will order the soup again.

Bulk is a ripoff
This soup isn’t the most amazing thing I’ve had but I like it for dieting and I think it’s a great compromise. Also, don’t buy this bulk pack. It’s probably cheaper to buy 6 individually in the store. Here they're just trying to capitalize on people who see ‘bulk’ and assume it’s a good deal.
