Great 1tb card for switch just plug it in and go!
So far so good with this card. I am reviewing the A1 superior silicon power 1tb micro sd card. I bought this specifically for the Nintendo switch as my 128 gig sd card was just to small Amd I was tired of archiving and having to delete stuff to make room. I was recently scammed on a San disk 1tb counterfeit card I got off eBay so I needless to say I was wary of this one despite the good reviews. But I can 100% say this card is great! No issues, no corrupted data messages, fast reading and write rates. Best of all there is no formatting needed with this card on switch. You can literally just open it, pop it in to your switch and begin redownloading all of your software/games. I’m very happy with it Amd seeing thst it shipped directly from silicon power made me much more trusting. Gameplay is nice and fluid, no hiccups at all. It’s awesome to finally have room for a massive amount of games And have a card I can rely on. My lesson learned is to spend money on a reputable brand don’t try and go the cheap route with these micro cards, they are all over and they are fake. This is the most affordable reputable brand micro sd card you can get atm of writing this and it’s worth the $

Unmatched Performance and Generous Storage
The Silicon Power 1TB Micro SD Card is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to storage capacity and performance. As someone who relies heavily on portable storage for various devices, this microSD card has proven to be an exceptional addition to my digital arsenal. First and foremost, the sheer capacity of 1TB is astounding for a microSD card. With such ample space, I can now store an extensive collection of high-definition photos, 4K videos, and even large files without worrying about running out of storage. Whether it's for my smartphone, camera, or Nintendo Switch, this microSD card ensures that I have enough space to capture and save precious memories or enjoy my favorite games and media content. In terms of speed, this U3 SDXC microSDXC card boasts impressive high-speed capabilities. With read and write speeds that are well within the UHS-I Class 3 specification, I experience seamless and smooth data transfers. This is particularly beneficial when shooting burst photos, recording high-resolution videos, or transferring large files between devices. I've noticed a significant reduction in waiting times, which allows me to be more productive and efficient. Another standout feature of the Silicon Power microSD card is its reliability and durability. It's designed to withstand harsh conditions, including water, shock, X-rays, and extreme temperatures. This durability provides peace of mind, especially when using the card during outdoor adventures or in demanding environments. Compatibility is not an issue with this microSD card. It works flawlessly with a wide range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, action cameras, drones, and gaming consoles. I appreciate the convenience of having a single memory card that can be used across multiple gadgets without any compatibility hiccups. The included adapter is a thoughtful addition as well. It allows me to use the microSD card with devices that have standard SD card slots, such as cameras and laptops, further enhancing its versatility. In conclusion, the Silicon Power 1TB Micro SD Card is a true game-changer in the world of portable storage. Its massive 1TB capacity, impressive read and write speeds, and robust durability make it an ideal choice for tech enthusiasts, content creators, and anyone seeking to expand their device's storage capabilities. If you're in the market for a high-performance microSD card that offers both reliability and ample space, look no further than this exceptional product from Silicon Power.

Fast enough for most of the usual applications
Terrabyte transflash cards are new and still pricey, most of us are not going to be putting one in a device that can squeeze all the speed an expensive name brand card can provide. This card has a five year warranty, check, and it can transfer at a decent speed found on most consumer phones and tablets, check, so for most of us this sixty dollar card is all we need but of course you're free to spend twice as much if you want to. The name brand products probably are by far the most compatible with any device you would put it into but if you watch reviews you can find cheaper products that are just as good and save you some money. I bought this for my new Oukitel RT2 tablet which can use the transflash card as it can internal memory (even to installing apps on it) or just as additional memory depending on how you set it up. When I installed the card the tablet called it corrupted most likely because it didn't like the format it was in but it's good practice to format memory cards on the device the first time you install it anyway. So far all is working great no complaints. The card comes with a SD card adapter or you can get one of the tiny devices that plugs into a usb A or c port and takes a transflash card. No problems at all so far, if you don't recognize the name Oukitel is a Chinese cell phone company as a US customer I'd never heard of them before but reviews make them sound pretty decent over all. One year later June 2024 the card failed in a major way, only way to recover my tablet was to do a factory reset as I was using the storage card as "memory" as is allowed on this device. The company responded to my support inquiry within a day or two but have now referred me back to the amazon seller for a warranty replacement saying it's easier for me to deal with the store. Well great but can't seem to find a way to contact the store anymore, there is a way to do it through their web site as well apparently. That's slightly irksome actually, kinda sloppy customer service if you ask me.

Dud, died within just 1 day of use. 1 Terabyte 100$ SD Card is being returned.
The SD card is completely unreadable after using it in the Steam Deck downloading a game. The Steam Deck SD Card reader however is fine and I am now using a much smaller 256gb Sandisk which is now full and working perfectly. For reference I am IT and here is the troubleshooting steps I took: Tried formatting in Nintendo switch - Couldn't read SD Card, gave error. Tried formatting in both Steam Deck OS and Steam Deck Desktop Linux based using KDE Partition Manager. - Both show unreadable, endlessly try to access the SD card, stuck in an endless loading/testing cycle. Tried formatting in PC Windows 11 Desktop on USB C hub and SD Card reader - Won't even detect SD Card. Tried formatting on Laptop Windows 10 using built in SD Card reader - Won't even detect SD Card. Used USB C port on phone using a USB C Hub - Won't even detect SD Card. I clearly got a dud. It happens. Even when it comes directly from the source, sometimes you just get a dud. I am not very happy Silicon Power sent me a dud when I have bought over 5 other SD Cards from Sandisk and Samsung and ALL of them worked to expectations and passed all tests. Luckily however, I bought 5 other SD Cards so I have PLENTY backups. I am currently using a 256gb Sandisk SD Card and it is working great! I think I will be avoiding Silicon Power products after this. Perhaps it was just a dud but the fact is I am a heavy SD Card user, one for my laptop, USB card reader for Desktop, Nintendo Switch, and Steam Deck. With an extra 1 in case one dies or I need the extra space. All 128-256gb versions. Yet my first time buying a Silicon Power SD Card I get a dud. To be frank, I am not happy. I will gladly pay the premium price of SD Cards in order to NOT get a dud and to have a longer lasting higher quality SD Card. Think of it like this: Would you spend 100$ for an SD Card that lasts 1-2 years or 140$ on an SD Card that lasts 3-5 years. For reference, most SD Cards I have are near 5 years old. Get your act together Silicon Power, you should not be giving out 100$ duds!!!

Good performance for the buck
Bought the SP A1 1TB microsd at same price as the SP A2 1TB. Tested both the A1 and A2...they both has almost identical performance but surprisingly i felt the older A1 is slightly more stable than the newer A2. So my next purchase could be the A1 instead of the A2. There is another model called "Game A2". Can't find any info on this card on SP website so not sure what is this Game A2. Nevertheless, SP A1 is lower price and than competitors such as Samsung and Sandisk models. SANdisk Extreme 512GB has better performance as it can sustain write and read speed of 140MB/s at much longer period. Performance of the A1 is reasonable. Manage to get consistent read speed of 147 MB/s when reading big 67GB file. Write performance however drops to 86MB/s when writing the same 67GB file. For smaller file, speed can reach 140MB/s but only for short period of ard 1min. Overall happy with the purchase.

this sd card works perfectly for the steam deck
whilst the other A2 card says its bad for the steam deck, i decided to buy the A1 card since it says nowhere that its bad for the steam deck. i was expecting a mediocre performance since this card was quite cheap for its price but this card surprised me, it was better than i expected. the card only has 908.2 gbs of usable storage and it runs every game perfectly, data transfers speeds are also good and even in continuous use ( 5 hours of moving from 1 card to the other ) it never broke in any way and no data was lost. would reccomend for the steam deck if you are looking for a cheap 1 tb sd card
