Great dive knife.
So I saw people complaining about the hook that keeps this thing in, and they totally fixed that. It's now a button more or less, and keeps the knife firmly attached until you need it. There were also complaints about not having something to keep the loose straps collected, but I ran it through the holes on the case and it's not a problem. The design of this thing is solid, and it's not terribly sharp, but it can cut your finger (I found out thinking it was dull after checking it the right way). Taking this thing scalloping, will update after. :)

Great knife. Sharp.
This knife is good quality. It has a very nice sheath that securely holds the blade. Good height and has straps included to attach.

Incredible knife and safety holster IFFFF you change the straps
I love to snorkel, kayak, and do stand-up paddle boarding. Some lakes have lots of weeds. The ocean is full of kelp. Weeds can be full of broken fishing lines. This knife seems very well planned and heavy duty. I love the size, the weight, the line cutter, the sharper serrated part. The safety release on the holster is great. The single significant problem, is that the designer of this thing made the straps to work upside down, which is not very comfortable. A very easy, simple solution is to toss the straps that come with it and buy a couple of better made straps. The following fixed the problem for me:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09T24YR58/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1Bottom line: I highly recommend this product with a different set of straps that are designed correctly.

Good Knife for the Price
I really like this knife for the price I paid. It came with a sharp edge already on it. The grip is is very good and doesn't allow slippage. The only issue I have is that the sheath straps are a little confusing. There should be better instructions to assemble. I do like the release button that secures the knife in the sheath. I would recommend this item though.

Takes A Licking But Keeps On Ticking
I've had my 2 Promate knives for about 4 years. I sharpen and oil them once a year at the end of the Summer, which takes me about 10 minutes. They are constantly in salt water with me from May until September. They hold their edge and after these 4 years, they each have a tiny small amount of rust stains - barely even noticeable. They are workhorses and they are awesome.

Excellent Knife for Diving
Durable, sharp knife with good grip and good fitting strap. Performs well on small tasks in salt water. Expect many years of suitable use with proper cleaning and sharpening. Excellent value . Would recommend for others

great knife when used correctly!
as a SCUBA diver, I am always wary of low cost knives. I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived! It both felt and looked like a $200+ knife. to adress the issue of rust: treat it like any other knife that gets wet. dry it as soon as possible when you get out of the water, and treat it with mineral oil every few dives, and this thing stays perfectly new. the only thing I should mention is that this is technically a two sided knife, or that it has blades all the way up the top and bottom. for diving, this is dead useful, but it also makes it illegal to carry in some states. make sure you check your local laws before getting this. otherwise, this is one of the best sub-$100 knives I have ever seen.
