I really like this keystone insert. I didn't use it for speakers, I used it for low voltage temperature sensor wire in a long distance run, and it works perfectly. Very well made, snaps in very tight into keystone wall plates, and the screws clamp down tight on the wire (there are metal plates it presses against so the screws are not directly touching the wire). These really neaten up the installation, are very easy to install, and affordable. I'll be using them again I'm sure.

I ran out of spots in my faceplate; I needed to connect two sets of speakers, and had two empty spots. That's exactly what this little widget is for.Since I could not figure out how it worked from the stock photo, I uploaded some more. Each widget will pass one set of speaker wires through the faceplate. You insert the wires on the 'back' side in the red/black holes, tighten the set screws and install in the faceplate. Then you can connect the 'front' in the same way. When installing, pay attention to the "Up" marker, and remember the "front" is the side _without_ the clip. Otherwise you'll be like me, and have to screw/unscrew everything three times.

I am writing this review because the picture was a little confusing to me.This is a small device that fits into a single standard keystone spot in a wall plate. I tested it on ACE HARDWARE BRAND AND LEVITON kestone faceplate.the bare wire fits into the hole and then you use a small screwdrive to secure the wire. This will hold the wire going to a single speaker. You will need to buy two if you are going to connect the device to a pair of speakers.I hope that this helps you.

Bought 2 of these to connect my amp/receiver to my newly installed in wall speaker wires. For my rear speakers and it works great. My in the wall wires are 12 awg and fit fine. It is a nice compact design so one connector does one speaker (+ & -). Would buy again if I needed more!

It's a bit fiddly to fit the cables into it. Sometimes when you unscrew it the openings don't open up to accept the cable. I always screwed it tightly closed first, then unscrewed it again pressing down on the screw as I did so. This generally caused it to open properly.I seem to have lost a lot of volume on one speaker by routing it through one of these. I'll have investigate further to diagnose if it's a wiring problem or a problem with the connector.Other than that, it all works as described and fits nicely into the keystone plate.

I had been looking for a product like this for my entertainment system for months and finally came accross these. You get two speaker wires in one faceplate hole, which is a huge deal if you have limited space. Also being able to screw down and clamp the wires on both sides to created a secure connections is very, very helpfule. Highly recommend this product to anyone!

Bought 4 of these for my home theater setup. Besides being cool looking, they snap right into place with levitron quickport plates. Make sure you have a small flathead screwdriver (the type you would use on a PC), or else you will not be able to tighten the screws that hold the wires into place. All in all, very happy with the purchase.

Great product! These fit the bill! I've used banana plugs in a similar situation. However, these had a much more secure hold and a sold construction around it. Would buy again. In fact, I may remove the banana plug setup and replace with 25 of these. It's just so much cleaner for an in wall setup. I also used 14 gauge wiring no problem at all for the wire size.
