I use this three times a week and it keeps my scalp dermatitis at bay. I even order to my home in the USA. Shipping is usually around one to two weeks quicker than the estimated date which is also great.

I have been using this shampoo for more than 20 years. I recommend it to all people that have problems with scalp disorders, mainly seborrhoeic dermatitis. His effect is very fast. This product is amazing.

I like everything about this shampoo except the scent. It drives my cat mad and he ends up running his face through my hair.

This this a 5% coal tar shampoo that is bright green in color and smells somewhat like a household cleaner (not particularly bad but not like a beauty product). The company describes the fragrance as "herbal," which is probably generous, at best. It foams and lathers like a normal shampoo, but despite it being advertised as "two-in-one," it doesn't provide much conditioning, and I would recommend using a normal conditioner after washing. As a psoriasis medication, it has worked better for me than lower-strength shampoos (5% coal tar is the strongest strength available in the US without a prescription) as a maintenance shampoo to prevent scalp psoriasis from flairing. However, I don't think that 5% coal tar alone is potent enough to truly bring active psoriasis under control. It's useful after you achieve good clearance. My main complaint with Alphosyl compared to other coal tar shampoos is that it's pretty harsh and drying. The ingredients list is all chemicals, including sodium lauryl sulfates, and it doesn't have any natural oils to help remoisturize your hair. Although it helps with psoriasis, if I use it too often, it irritates my scalp and leaves my hair feeling dry and brittle. If you don't need to use a 5% coal tar shampoo daily, I'd recommend trying a more gentle one (such as Scalp18, which is 2%) and just using Alphosyl once or twice a week. It might work as a medicine, but it's not a very nice shampoo, and there are better options available.

Outstanding medicated shampoo which works well on scalp psoriasis. I have used this product in rotation with other medicated shampoos since 2006. Glad to find a supply in the USA.
