Value for money 17 inch laptop
Cheap and cheerful 17.3" laptopDecent enough screen for the money,Backlit keyboard isn't particularly bright.HDD (1TB Toshiba MQ04ABF100) is incredibly slow and laptop spends most of it's time being unresponsive due to 100% disk usage with background windows tasks. When I purchased this the intention was always to replace the HDD with a M.2 SSD.WD Blue SN550 1TB High-Performance M.2 PCIe NVME SSD is only £68 at time of purchase.Be aware though, this laptop does not have the screw required to secure the M.2 drive, and the drive I purchased also did not come with the screw. so I had to remove a screw from the laptop motherboard to use with the M.2I've spent 3 -4 hours removing all the bloatware and unwanted windows services and am now ready to clone the HDD to the new M.2 SSD using Macrium Reflect Free home edition.Hopefully this laptop will be fairly snappy after this simple upgrade and still be good value for money.

Horrifically slow laptop, do not buy
The specs looked okay but this laptop barely functions on its own let alone with any software installed. Even waking from sleep can take 2 minutes. It glitches then crashes. Had to return it.

Amazing value.
I needed to replace my ageing laptop, it's about 8 years old, the Wi-Fi failed completely a while ago, and the battery died as well, which isn't a huge issue as I only use it on my desk, but it is still a fairly powerful laptop (i7 2760QM), but it did need replacing.I had two requirements, a bigger screen (previous laptop is 15.6") and the opportunity to upgrade to Windows 11, (which the previous laptop is too old for).Considering the price, this is a very capable laptop, and looks great.Great screen size and spec, excellent processor, comfortable keyboard, and lightweight.Having had this laptop for several days now, I am very happy with it.The keyboard needed getting used to as it feels rather light in operation compared to my previous laptop, but it feels fine now I have become used to it.The 17" screen is great and has pretty slim bezels, however as this device sits up on the lower edge of the screen when open, it does not tilt back quite as much as expected, but it's enough, and you get used to it.I have no idea how long it will operate on battery, as it is left plugged in 99% of the time, and I have little reason to take it anywhere, although having an operational battery will be useful in the event of a power cut.My only gripe about this laptop is it came with a slow 1TB SATA HDD (5400rpm), however as there was an additional (and empty) SSD bay, so I added a 250GB SSD and swapped out the installed drive for a 7200rpm 500GB Hybrid HDD, I've since made the SSD the boot drive for Windows and all other applications, the SATA drive is now used primarily for music, videos, documents etc.Overall, I am impressed with this device, and considering I saw it listed elsewhere for around £600-£650, I certainly feel I landed a bargain. Definitely recommended.
