Wonderful, deep purple ink
I love this ink, it writes really smoothly and has a great, rich color, even on simple printer paper.I ordered this ink to fill my Nemosine Fission, which has a medium nib. I have included images of the ink written out using that pen, shown in full sunlight and in the shade. The images also show the bottle, with that classic Noodler's art!I ordered this ink because it is listed by Noodler's as being one of their waterproof ones. It's not as resistent as their Bulletproof Black, according to them, but it is still waterproof. With my basic test of spilling water on the paper I wrote on, I'd say that Noodler's got it right! Even with stuff I wrote only a few minutes ago, the ink holds up to water being dripped on it and even smeared across it.Overall, I think this ink is stupendous! Noodler's has never let me down.

Awesome ink.
Beautiful shade and does well against water. So far it behaves as well as any of the other inks I have.Just be careful. It has a penchant to dry on the nib very quickly. It also has a very strong smell. Does not bother me, but can smell it if hold pen near face or within like a foot of the open bottle. But this really is a beautiful solid shade of mauve/purple. Even with an ef pilot nib it has a vibrant distinctness against the paper.I wish this came in a 3oz bottle, but other than that, it is doing darn well.O and be careful as for some stupid reason mine came loose in a bubblewrap bag so check for damage. Luckily mine arrived fine.Update—-12dec2019This and Platinum Carbon Black are my favorite inks. This ink works best in a wet or semi wet nib/feed. It is extremely water resistant. Just do not use it to write checks as some bleed through is there. Overall an amazing ink. Noodlers usually does make great inks

Dull and thick lines
First of all, almost all other noodlers inks cost about $13.00 for the 3 oz bottle so that’s a big money rip off since this is 1 oz. secondly this ink is soooo heavy! It made my fine nib look like a broad nib with how thick it was coming out. The color is also so concrete, there is no shading to it at all, it just feathers a ton. The shade of purple is pretty but it’s practically unusable since it only usable with big hand writing (and I have tiny hand writing). The very first noodlers ink I’ve ever been disappointed with.

Gorgeous color and eternal too!
La Reine Mauve by Noodler's is more pricey than their other ink offerings, but to my mind well worth it. The color is a clear, deep reddish purple, conservative enough for everyday use but luscious enough for self-expression. Like all Noodler's ink which is bulletproof, waterproof, lightfast or eternal, it needs a little extra TLC as to cleaning and starting after a long time unused in a pen. I accept this entirely as a tradeoff for such fine ink qualities. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well and to me that means as near permanent as possible.I use this ink for notes, letters, journals and sketching and very happy to add it to my ink trove as #2 of my top 3 favorites.

A very pretty purple
A very dark and beautiful purple ink that is well tolerated on most papers. Not as universal as the Heart of Darkness, but almost as much. I find it to be dark enough to not offend the sensibilities of those who live in a blue or black world, and pretty enough for universal application. This has become my favourite ink, I only wish it wasn't quite so expensive for a once ounce jar. At the rate I am going through it, I could use a larger jar for the money. I still feel that it is worth every penny for such a beautiful colour, and I would not shy away from it due to the price. I imagine that purple is one of the hardest colour to manufacture, and I promise that once you use it, you will see why it is worth every cent.
