Installed the first one and got an Er1 reading. Contacted the seller and within 1 hr they replied and said they would sent a replacement. I got that within a day, installed it and it works great. I gave 3 stars for temperature control because it seems to be a bit high. I set the smoker at 225 degrees and it seems to be closer to 250. I haven't experimented enough to be too concerned. But it would be nice if it was a bit more accurate...OR, if there was a pot/adjustment so I could dial in the temperature response myself. That would be simple and a great feature.

The original controller on my Traeger failed, and a direct (V1) replacement is not available. I bought this and fabricated a mounting bezel, and it Works! Wires are clearly identifiable, so installation is mistake proof. Temperature probe readings are accurate to five degrees F. No “super smoke” mode on this unit.

Easy to install, but only worked for 1 hour. This grill has been a struggle all summer, so when it broke AGAIN, it took me a few weeks to muster up the enthusiasm to figure out the problem. By the time I realized it was the temperature sensor (and not something I'd screwed up), the return window had closed. However, I figured "No harm in asking, right?" I was pleasantly surprised the company happily sent me a replacement with absolutely no trouble at all. I was so relieved! It came quickly and worked perfectly. The only reason my review is 4 stars and not 5 is because the first one was a dud.

This kit is legit i got 480 degrees on a lil tex... better than oem. I also replaced every other component with complete rebuild. I have installed this control board assy on two rebuilds now and they run like champions. The Washington state rain beats down on them daily and they still run great. The Shut down feature is a huge upgrade from oem controller. Seems to bounce temp about the same as oem.

It didnt come with screws so make sure you dont lose your old screws. Super easy to install. It seems to be a little hot. IE. I set for 225 it sits around 240. No big problem but that is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5

it's a quality item. looks like its built well. I haven't been able to use it enough to see if the temps are accurate will know more at a later date. it comes well packed in a pain brown box. my big issue with it is there are no instructions or diagram. inside the box. I failed to pay attention. to the old temp controller on my traeger so I had to look it up. it was fairly easy but instructions would of been nice.

Quality product so far, plug and play, meat sizzling in 15min.

Replaced the original parts with this and got the upgrade of temps probes that work well.
