SOQ Snake Oil, 1 Quart, Small

My family recently bought a drain auger for our sewer line and then a smaller battery-powered handheld 25' snake for the sink, shower, and toilet lines. When I've borrowed this kind of equipment in the past, the cables are always rusted and covered in lord knows what. We bought a bottle of this oil when we bought the equipment, and I applied a coat to both cables before we ever used the machines for the first time. Then, after I use the machine, I apply the oil to the cable again as it goes back into the drum/housing. This stuff will keep your cables rust free, looking fresh, smelling fresh, and will prolong the life of both the cable as well as the machine itself. It's a MUST have, and if you don't use it, your cable will start to rust quickly. For the cost of about $25, you can protect your investment that cost hundreds of dollars. It's a no brainer. Don't use your equipment without having this product first!

The snake oil keeps the cable lubricated and prevents rust. Not easy to find locally so it's great Amazon stocks it.

The home improvement stores used to sell this but they don't now. The plumbing supply charges crazy prices and mostly in gallon+ sizes for other snake lubricants. For the home owner that may have to snake their lines a few times a year this size is convenient. I had an older neglected snake that had a moderate amount of rusting so using it was pretty messy. The rust would flake off leaving a grimy mess. Applied a modest amount with a towe and rubbed over the snake to remove as much of the surface rust as possible. After about 10 minutes of working this in the snake looked nearly new. Does what it states!
