Tuck Everlasting: An Instructional Guide for Literature - Novel Study Guide for 4th-8th Grade Literature with Close Reading and Writing Activities (Great Works Classroom Resource)

The questions themselves are good, but this book is put together SO haphazardly.The pages are perforated, which is nice if you're making copies, but I wasn't. I bought this as part of our 7th grade homeschool.I'm glad for this book just because it gives me activities to go with the novel, but that's about where my good review ends. The book is ordered in 5 chapter chunks, with no sense of order within those chapters. The worksheet to go with the prologue was on page 22, which was after a worksheet on chapter 4. Many of the reading questions scope across multiple chapters. I had to really look through both the novel and the workbook to match exercises with chapters.The book has certain exersises broken into "tier 1" and "tier 2". I ripped many of the tier 1 pages out and threw them away, but for the vocab lessons I didn't like the way the tiers were divided. Tier 1 was literally given the definition, while tier 2 didn't even get a context reference. This is great if you are a teacher , I though it was the actual book, so that’s why a 3 star.

I really fell in love with this little book .

I’m teaching ELA 6 for the first time and this is saving my life! All activities so far (prologue to chapter 5) have been useful and helpful for my students.
