Will my Xbox One rechargeable battery pack work in the new controllers?

The battery from the previous Xbox One S/X Play & Charge Kit will work with your new controller, but you’ll need a new cable since the new controller now has a USB-C port. Third party charging solutions that have their own battery door cover replacement may not work with the new controller.

Usb-c to a or c to c?

The side that plugs into the controller is a USB-C connecter and the side that plugs into your console is USB-A.

How long does the charge last without the cable?

A fully charged battery will get you through about 30 hours of gameplay.
