Caitec Oven Fresh Bites, Extra Small, Parakeet, 14 ounce

My Quaker parrot absolutely loves these pellets. On the front of the bag it says "Extra small, for parakeets" But these pellets would be much too big for a little parakeet. My bird doesn't feast, so it lasts a long time. When it arrived, I was a bit bummed because the bag was only filled up to the clear part and the rest was empty. But it still lasts. Very happy with this purchase!

All you have to do is look at the ingredients. I have never seen such wholesome ingredients in another bird food. It smells fresh, like granola. I feed it to a Lovebird and a Parakeet. Some of my Finches eat it.

I dont mind it, but the real opinion is my birds. They dont like it at all. Thats about it maybe other birds like it just not mine.

Yes, these are a bit big for budgie or parakeet beaks, but we’ll worth the time to crush them with a mortar and pestle. There’s good stuff in these. I have 9 budgies and all like these pellets. Good stuff, good value, good for my “birbs”. My flock is happy and healthy. What more could I ask for. Put them thru your mini coffee grinder to make a flour for birds bred or cake. It’s fun. Will keep buying.

pellet size is much too large for parakeets, complete waste. Pellet texture is much harder than large size pellet for parrots.My African grey loves large size Oven Baked pellets but my parakeets ate nothing.
