*Update 2* In response to the first update below, the vendor has provided me with a replacement cartridge. This says a lot about their customer support. I am raising the review +2 stars based on this support and the fact that with the new cartridge, the water is great again. I will try to modify the review again depending on the life of the 2nd filter. Note- the customer support mentioned that the new cartridge is an updated design that may last longer than the first. She also noted that everyone's experience with filter lifespan will depend upon how much chemical and dirt is in the water.*Update*. after six weeks of two of us using this filter, the water is developing an obvious smell to it. I think we've probably reached the capacity limit of the element. I take pretty short showers, like 3-4 minutes, 6 if I'm shaving, once or twice per day with a 2gpm head. My wife is not a long shower person, say 10 minutes. That's not a great lifespan. reduced from 4 stars to 2. I may not bother with the filter refill and may consider another brand.***I can definitely tell a difference using this shower filter, though I can't say how much of a difference it makes. I bought it specifically to reduce chlorine content, which I believe it does - my skin does not feel as "dry" leaving the shower and the water feels softer, and the water doesn't have the same smell it did before. It does not reduce the flow with my 2gpm shower head.The casing is not stainless steel as another reviewer mentioned; it is thin plastic. It does not leak, and filter replacement looks easy. I can't imagine the filter blocking all chlorine for the 6 months advertised based on its size and high flow, but at this price there's no way to no and it's definitely making some kind of a difference, so I'll stick with it for now until something better comes along, as long as the refills stay affordable.

I was reading the other reviews and thought I would give it a try since I have a high chlorine smell in our water and makes my skin very dry. I installed it using the provided teflon tape with my hands no tools needed at least for my shower head. I ran the water to remove the carbon out of the filter for a few minutes until it ran clear. I then held my hand under the running water and smelled my hand I couldn't smell any chlorine like before. I was then ready to take a shower for the full test. After I was in the shower for around 10-15mins and got out to dry off my skin felt much better then usually does not dry and itchy like before the filter install. I would recommend this to someone who has the same type water situation I have dealt with for a while now. Not sure how much chlorine it removes but sure seems night and day better my skin feels much happier now. Its also a cheaper alternative then a whole house filter system. Hope this helps!

I live in Lexington, KY where the limestone water is great for making bourbon, but hard on hair and skin! My stylist recently added violet tips to my bleached hair and I wanted to make sure it did not fade quickly, so my stylist recommended a shower head filter.Installation was a breeze; I unscrewed our current high pressure rain shower head from the wall, added Teflon tape to all exposed threads, screwed everything back in and was good to go! The whole process took 10 minutes, tops.Be aware, however, that this inline filter will add about 5 1/2 inches to how far your current shower head sticks out from the wall. This is not a problem for me, but my husband (who is 6 inches taller than I) now cannot fit under the shower head while standing up straight. Additionally, there is a VERY slight reduction in water output; but I don't think I would have noticed it if I had not been paying attention.Overall, I would recommend this product in a heartbeat! Previous to this filter, post-shower, my hair felt like it had a residue, or like I had been swimming in a pool without rinsing my hair after. Now, I have little trouble detangling my hair, and it feels noticeably softer! Even more importantly, I have not noticed a bit of fading to the color, it looks just like it did two weeks ago!! Bonus - I no longer smell chlorine when I turn on the shower, and I've used body lotion much less than usual.I would have given this product 5 stars if it were just me, but because my husband has trouble fitting under it, I am giving it 4.However, for the price, if you're thinking of a shower head filter, I definitely recommend this one!

This is a very nice filter! I had purchased a different brand prior to this one that I was not happy with at all, so I was especially delighted when this one installed easily, did not leak, and does an excellent job taking out the chlorine and other nasty smells from our water.The fact that this one has a replaceable filter is also a bonus. (The other required that the entire assembly be replaced.)Additionally, after purchase I received a helpful letter from the company which provided a tip for extending the filter life. That is extraordinary customer service, especially given that NOT extending filter life would let them sell more replacement filters.This company deserves 6 stars.

Great alternative to whole house or point of entry water filtration system. We have a large walk in shower, with glass doors and two heads. Up till our recent acquisition of the Shower Filter by H20 Natural, we had tons of water stains on the glass from hard water, as well as the tell tail signs of hard water build up on the shower head.Fast forward, no more hardwater and bonus, our hair feels softer, fuller, silkier and skin too!Great product. Highly recommend. Do follow the instructions and make sure that you gently thread the filter onto your exiting head and pipe, as the threads on this unit are plastic.

From all the positive reviews, I thought this filter fit the bill, but not only did it never work, it was apparently poorly designed: first, there was a leak on the top and bottom, and it was spraying all over; so I used the white sealant tape and tried again--then the whole thing blew apart. It's been awhile since I've had such a laughably bad experience with a product.

GENUINE REVIEW (take a look at most other reviewers previous reviews and you'll see that most of them are probably not genuine)I live in Bristol which is an area with hard water. I bought this product in the hope that it may soften the water for my shower, which is nearly impossible to tell solely by feel. So I bought a water hardness test kit to find out (photo).It turns out that the water coming out of my tap in my kitchen was 260ppm and the water coming out of my shower was 220ppm. An improvement, but not much of one. As someone who was hoping it may improve the dryness of my skin I have experienced since moving to the area, I am certainly disappointed. Needless to say I won't be buying a refill cartridge.However it was easy to fit, doesn't leak, and it looks quite nice.Beware of dishonest reviews. By the looks of things products such as this one must commission reviews on amazon in order to gain a better rating and a decent number of (fake) positive reviews. It's a shame a trusted site like Amazon is yet to screen this sort of consumer injustice. Of course I may be wrong, but look at the positive reviews and their reveiwers and judge for yourself.

Too bulkey. Would only fit at the head end of my shower. The shower head ended up falling off and smashing into a number of pieces. The water does smell/feel better as did my skin, hence the two stars. Would be ideal if it could be made smaller or if the ‘wall end’ of the shower pipe stuck out far enough to accomodate it. Its about the size of a can of coke.

Love this! It's made a real difference to our shower as we have really hard water. Thought it might affect the water pressure but not at all. Ive always had to use conditioner but since fitting this I can get away without using it! Easy to fit too. Thank you. Only other comment is that the instructions on Amazon are more informative than those that came in the package, and a useful tip to lengthen the life of the filter came in a follow up email.

I purchased the shower filter as id just moved to UK and found the water full of lime sediments. The filter is a bit smaller than i thought, but its good if you don't have a lot of space. It was easy to install and doesn't leak. The difference it makes isn't right away apparent, but i noticed after a few days the glass in the shower wasn't scaling up and my skin was less itchy. The water pressure wasn't badly affected, flow is still good. The filter says it will last six months but i doubt that is likely seeing as a Brita water filter only lasts for a month worth of drinking water. I will keep a close eye on water pressure to determine if the filter is getting clogged. Overall satisfied by design, delivery time and quality, durability remains to be seen.

Seems to be a good product and does what it promise, but it's a bit expensive. I bought exactly the same product, also on Amazon but from a white label, for half the price. I think it''s a bit silly to pay so much more for just a brand name sticker. That's the main reason why I rated thsi product 4 stars instead of 5 stars, because there is nothing wrong with the product or the friendly after service email.

What a fantastic filter. Easy to fit and it has transformed our shower experience. We live in an area known for its hard water. I am forever changing shower heads as they get clogged up but not anymore. The water is so much more softer and gentler. Difficult to describe really but I wish I had bought one of these filters years ago. Can't recommend it enough.

Wasn't hoping for a miracle as we live in a horribly hard water area in Berkshire, UK. I've noticed a world of difference! My hair is so incredibly soft and my skin feels like I'm on holiday! My husband who suffers from psoriasis noticed a skin change for the better in just a week. We have a newborn baby and we will definitely be bathing her in this water! Cannot believe we have suffered with skin problems for so long!

I had a water filter for my shower, but it was mounted where the tap is. This one goes with the head of the shower and in just a couple of twists it's ready to work. Nice product

I did not feel any difference with the water before and after inserting this filter. Who knows whether it does the job as mentioned in the product description. Maybe it is not effective for Belgian water. Hence wouldn't buy again.

Bought this after reading reviews and needing something to help with hard water. I have curly hair, but since moving to new area, my hair has gone limp and the curls have fallen. New filter helped improve the bounce in my hair after one wash! I have also noticed my skin is softer too!

I can not comment on wether it actually fliters armful chemicals as i do not have any means to test it but i can say i haven't noticed any difference on my skin or my hair. Desappointed.

Easy to install, and does help remove the smell of chlorine, have them installed on both showers.

Though it feels a bit tacky than displayed as it is not really metal...Skin definitely feels less dry after washing in this water.The instructions are a little unclear at parts but it is mostly common sense.Decent product

First time I've bought a shower filter and wished I had years ago. This product came well on time and very easy to fit. Noticed the difference in my hair after washing how much softer it was. The company who makes them kindly emailed me and asked if I needed any help or advice. Would definatley recommend this company and will be buying my filters from them in the future.
