4.5, really, but well worth getting!
Sweet Orange to the nose is what stands out with DHOS' Orange. Neat the orange is pronounced and lingering with more hints of orange peel rather than citrus. There's also a bit of peppery warmth and a touch of mint to it. On ice the orange backs off a little and artificial sweetener aftertaste starts to pop in, oddly. I notice on the bottle this is made with monk fruit sweetener so if you are sensitive to some of those kinds of sweeteners you may notice this. In this case, though, it can come across more as the bitterness of orange peel rather than that type of sweetener so it's not too bad. Still I preferred it neat, interestingly. As a side note many of these "alternative spirit" style drinks use something to give them a bit of mouth feel, which is usually some kind of sweetener (often glycerin), so this is certainly in the norm. Still the good thing here is it's a more complex flavor than just "orange", otherwise you may as well use orange extract (although that does contain alcohol, but you'd be diluting that heavily) if that was all you wanted, and it would be cheaper but have a far less complex flavor profile. That being said, as many will note, most of these are not meant to be used neat or on the rocks (you wouldn't really expect to drink one of those coffee flavor additives/syrups straight either, would you?) So the real place to check this would be in a cocktail or situation where you might use say Cointreau or even Grand Marnier and I feel DHOS Orange works really well in those situations, for me.

It'd be great if it didn't try so hard to replicate the "burn" of alcohol.
Flavor wise, it's pretty good, more complex than simple syrups and extracts - though I'm sure it's something that could be done with those, this just is far more convenient. It mixes well and isn't bad even just in some soda water. Not a bad pick at all on that front. The problem is the (assumed to be ginger?) "burn" of alcohol, which most of these have, and it's delayed and unpleasant, not to mention entirely unnecessary: I don't drink these because want to "feel" the alcohol in my mouth and throat, which I wouldn't in many mixed drinks anyway, I want to taste a complex flavor that is found in liquors without having the alcohol in it. This is almost what I wanted, and then that burn shows up, and... Meh.

Tasty with just the right burn!
Light orange taste with ginger that gives you that light-back-of-the-throat burn that you've been missing if you are cutting down or stopping drinking. Non-alcoholic. I sip it over ice and it makes a nice end of the day ritual drink. The taste reminds me of a light triple sec and I suspect it would work well as a substitute mixer. Low cal and low carb if those are concerns. For the money, it's not a bad deal, though the prices tempers how often I drink it a bit.

I didn’t personally care for it
The bottle is attractive and came packaged well. I love all of the flavors but I just think I was expecting too much.

Pretty good
Interesting! Orangey flavor with a slight amount of "heat" in the aftertaste. Reminds me of Triple Sec or Frangelico. This is a mixer! You want to mix it with something. Makes it feel and taste like an alcoholic beverage. Plus I've been cooking with it as well. Overall pretty good.

Smells good, can't drink it
I made margaritas with it and literally couldn't take a second sip. I don't know why it hit me so bad. It does smell good. I'm sad about it, really, I was hoping I could cut down on the alcoholic content of some drinks this way, but yuck.

Delicious
I was worried this would be to subtle once I mixed it. However, I put some in a limoncello flavored fizzy water and it tastes just like a dreamsicle! No cals, just lovely flavor! I'm a huge fan and I can't wait to try it with some other mixers.
