Fit perfectly, worked perfectly!
My Kohler Command 14 engine would not start this season, unless I sprayed starter fluid directly into the carb. Over the past couple of years, it had gotten a bit hard to start and it would even die on very, very hot days (or require full choke to run). This year, it was obvious it was not getting fuel, so I thought I'd try this. After reading lots of reviews, I decided to go with the genuine Kohler part. It fit perfectly, came with directions and had everything you needed to replace your old pump.If any of my symptoms sound familiar, try the fuel pump. Especially the original. You won't be disappointed.

Why the big Snap Ring?? Update: Failed after 92 hours.
I did not understand why the picture showed a huge snap ring. I almost did not buy it because I knew my existing pump did not use a big snap ring. But the ring is an installation tool. This pump has separate input and output connectors. they can be positioned many ways. This makes the pump more universal, than the one piece molding that my original pump was made from. The snap ring is used to install these parts and then can be tossed into that can of misc stuff that most tinkerers have sitting around. The end result was that it fit perfectly on my Craftsman lawn tractor. Craftsman no longer carries the pump for this model tractor.UPDATE - I bought this 1 year and 10 months ago. worked fine, but now it does not pump anymore. Took it apart and it appears that one of the one-way valves has failed. Can't fix it. Tractor only gets run once a week for about an hour so I am disappointed. Removed one star. On my tractor the gas tank is under the seat at almost exactly the same height as the carb. I bypassed the pump and it runs fine on level ground or down hill, but can't go uphill. Rather than replace this pump again, I am going to put in a gas tank at a higher level. Gravity is 100% reliable.

I had to enlarge the mounting area because it was bigger than original.
It worked but the lever like mechanical arm was shorter than original. I had No other options but used and hoped for the best. The bottom line it worked.

This is an OEM fuel pump. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand. The pump fit my 16 hp Kohler perfectly.

Convert your mechanical pump to a vacuum pump system and save yourself money and headaches in the future
I'm sorry to say but the quality of the Kohler Parts have all gone to pot and are no longer the quality that we were all used to buying they are now all made in China and they are not built to the standards that they're old pumps were I've went through two pumps now I have converted my lawnmower to a vacuum pump which required no adjustments to the carburetor just common sense to hook it up and it works and runs perfect starts every time first time. I do not blame this on Amazon but Kohler for producing shoddy parts for replacement for our tractors. The only reason I bought the pump from Amazon because it was almost a quarter of what the price was from a dealer. But now I've replaced the pump with a vacuum pump and it fired right up and runs perfectly no more moving parts other than diaphragm and I have got to worry about prep Parts breaking off or coming apart and wrecking my equipment.

Don't buy cheap versions. This solved problems caused by cheap ones on my CV15S
I hate to tell you how many different fuel pumps that I've tried to just my 30+ year old Craftsman lawn tractor working properly. One of the cheap ones (from Amazon) broke after 2 mowings, the arm that connects to the diagram snapped off where the metal was bent. Another one, the most recent (from Amazon) was unable to provide enough fuel pressure to operate (less than 1 psi, sometimes zero). On that one, the cam follower was not the right shape.Another one, from eBay, I think, lasted about 2 months.I got the pump this evening, installed it in a few minutes, turned the key and it just ran. Fuel pressure was steady between 1 and 2 psi, no matter the engine speed or load. The engine ran great and smoothly.Don't waste your money on the cheap pumps at half the price. Spend the extra couple of bucks and solve the problem.
