Q: Is this candle food safe? Safe for a one year old to handle (not lit obviously)?

Hi Lucidity, the other answers you received are pretty spot on. They can hold onto the candle itself since it is just wax, food safe paint, and glitter. The glitter part is sealed in a top layer of clear coat as well but if the clear coat is not on 100% of the surface area, some of the glitter may fall off. We don't recommend LO's/toddlers put the candle in their mouth due to tiny amounts of glitter potentially falling off but holding onto it is just fine. Hope that helps!

Q: does the back have the same design as the front? or is it plain!
